LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic

*I'm currently in China, but wishing you all a safe and wonderful festive season with your loved ones!

Catastrophe Cosmetic ($16.95) is my second ever face mask by LUSH. My first face mask was Love Lettuce, which is an amazing face mask too!

I'm not really one to reach out to try differently things. They say "Taurus hates changes" and that's super-duper true with me! I'm the kind of person that prefers no changes so once I like something, there's no need for changes.

This tub was purchased by one of my girlfriends, for our Melbourne trip from a few weeks ago! It contains blueberries, and is supposed to soothe and gentle cleanse.

The mask was kinda hard to apply, because the texture was so hard and thick (◑.◑?). Eh, I'm not sure if that's the best way to describe it, but my tip for applying this would be to add a few droplets of water to help with spreading. It'll dry out to be the same, so don't you worry!

Rinsing this off can be a pain in the butt, or.. it was so for me. Some bits just didn't want to come off and would "dry" on your chin. AH! YOU KNOW... when you get toothpaste stuck, and it'll dry out chalky on the skin? Yeah?

Yeap, it's exactly like that!

I'd have to go over with a cotton pad with water to wipe it off. Worth it though, for the baby soft skin. You can really feel the differences in texture after the mask.

Skin just feels sooooooooo soft and smooth, a fly may just be able to slip off if it landed on ma cheeks. (•‿•)

Have you tried any LUSH masks?
Which is your favourite pick?

Saturday's Swatches: Face Of Australia Lasting Looks Lip Creme

A lippy post to brighten your Saturdays!

I've had these Lasting Looks Lip Cremes ($10.95) in my beauty stash for yoooooooooooonks. They are actually very decent lipsticks, pretty much everything you could ask for -- pigmented, creamy, buttery and moisturising with an average lasting power.

Most of all, they're super affordable!

I'm not sure why they haven't made my favourites.

Perhaps it's because I've been more into matte lip products rather than anything glossy. Or I'm just taking them for granted. Eep.

There are 7 shades to choose from, and ranges from reds to pinks and mauves.

Let's get swatchin', shall we?

Coral On
A very bright coral, almost pops against my skin (y'know one of those "shaaanxo" lip colours?). My top pick from this range, and also the most used shade. Just because it's coral! Hehe.

Perm Pink
A tad too cool-toned for me, as you can see. I don't usually go near these pinks, so this one will probably sit there to collect dust... eep.

Love Berry
A bright creme pink. It's a really bold shade, quite lovely -- right up my alley, but most of the time, I use this as a lip tint to dab over the lips to brighten up the face.

'Till Plum
As with most lip collections, there's always that one shade that you'll deem as the "weird shade". Till Plum is the one for me. It's not really a "vampy" colour to me, just a muted grape-toned lippy. Really different!

For-red-er
Somewhat of a bright red! Quite warm-toned, this one.

Rubies
Lookin' real similar to FOR-RED-ER, but it's deeper and darker!

#redsidebyside

Many Moons
Really wearable colour, the most MLBB-like shade of the collection. I sometimes reach for this shade, especially for those days when looking at my lipstick stash just confuses the heck out of me! I won't deny that sometimes it does make my face look a bit washed out though.

My top pick is Love Berry and Coral On. Many Moons is a unique one to have too!

On the same day I swatched these, I was also swatching the Rimmel Provocalips. Altogether, I swatched 15 lippies on that day!

Thankfully, these weren't brutally clingy on the lips like those Provocalips, else my lips would be gone!

Christmas with LUSH!

Last Christmas, I gave you heart, but the very next day, you gave it away. This year to save me from tears, I've giving it to....

Yes, I know!!!

I'm extremely late to this, so I'm sure you guys have seen these in stores already! They've been in stores for a couple of months already, but take this as a reminder of last-minute stocking stuffer ideas!

Most products mentioned are re-releases, but some are new releases, so without further adieu...

Let's go! (๑>ᴗ<๑)

I wished I had a bath tub for all the beautiful bath bombs!! It's my first time seeing these items, so I'm definitely intrigued!

I hope you've all enjoyed the photos I've compiled. Urgh, took me about 3 hours and now it's time to dine!

What's your pick? Or what have you picked [already]?

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated to LUSH in any way. This was a non-paid for PR piece that I willingly wanted to share!

Mani-Monday: Autumn Spice

A spice of autumn for those who are missing the chilly autumn season! Actually, I take that back! If you live in the Sydney-West region, the past week has been even worse than this year's Autumn! If those leaves weren't still stuck on their branches, we could seriously just call it Autumn.

I secretly love this weather though.. heh.

But I digress. Long time no Parfumerie!

My last feature of the Parfumerie range was with their Winter Mint, and I haven't really touched em since. As I've said, I really don't like scented-nail polishes.. They are just too much for someone who touches (not picking!!) their nose (habit!) and face a lot.

Autumn Spice ($15.95) is real gorgz though. It's not your normal brown, as you can tell from the bottle! Fine specks of shimmers, over this dark brown, chocolate-brown. Surely does remind me a lot of Autumn, and spices (doh!).

Don't ask me about the scent though! I have no idea what it smells like, never came across such a scent. Although it smells nice, but also overpowering at the same time. Not my cuppa tea.. ◑.◑

Short and sweet post!

As this post goes live, I should've landed in China. Will be away for two weeks, but will have posts scheduled! BE MY TWEETHEART AND GRAM-BUDZ to keep updated with pics, and more! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

10 [Beauty] Stocking Stuffers UNDER $3!

I've just finished my friends' Christmas gifts a few days ago, and it took me yonks to figure out what to fill the jars with.

Here are a few snaps of what they look like...

Some of the products are from the Models Prefer Lip Pack that I've mentioned in my previous Priceline 40% haul. I've also slipped in the wrong pencil case in this jar.. (*/∇\*)

One of the other jars...

JARS: I've purchased these for $3 each, you can find them at your local Hot Dollar stores, Reject Shops, and other dollar stores [I believe]..

SNOW: Yes! Fake snow! I thrifted them for $1 at the markets, but I think you should be able to find them at your local craft stores, OR you can just simply replace it with cotton balls!

NAMES: Purchase letter-stickers at your local dollar store, and stick em on! Eaasy!

PRODUCTS: Some I have thrifted at the markets (brand new though), some I've spotted from deals and saved em from months ago for this (yes, I'm bothered).

At the end of the day, the hardest for me was to figure of what products to include! They had to be awesome, but at the same time pocket-friendly!

I've figured a few, so I thought I'd put out the list for those whom are broke and struggling with the same issue. Heh.. Thank me later! (flicks hair)

Daiso is a great store to shop at for stocking stuffers. They have soooooooooo many different items, and the good thing about the store is that all items are $2.80.

Their Liquid Eyeliner ($2.80) is highly raved about, so check that out. OR their Detergent Cleansing Lotion for Puff & Sponge ($2.80), a favourite by many.

I', sure you've all heard of Ulta3 nail polishes ($2.00), Australia's top-selling [and cheapest] nail polish brand. Locate their stockists via their Facebook. I'm sure you'll be pleased with their shade range!
( ⋂‿⋂’)

Also, don't forget their Moisturising Lipsticks ($2.95)!

Priceline, I think have their very own cosmetics line to go with their BE skincare range. Beauty Essentials (BE) lipsticks are exactly $3. I've purchased one.. Yet to try out their quality, but either way, it makes a great stocking stuffer! They also have other items for $3.00 too!

I've mentioned this before, but I'll mention it again. Models Prefer READ MY LIPS pack ($20.00) is a great value pack if you have many stockings to fill, or great to even distribute between friends as small gifts. Ten lippies for $20 equates to $2 per shade!

essence is a good brand to scout if you're after cheap stocking fillers. Their French Glam Nail Tattoo Stickers ($2.55) and lip liners ($2.00) are right in the $3 zone!

Slip in a sachet of Nivea Aqua Effect Refreshing Moisturising Mask ($2.99) for them skincare junkies.

Or Formula 10.0.6's mask sachets ($1.99)..

Well, that's all!
I hope this helps you get through your Christmas shopping! :P
