NEW ON COUNTER (DEC 2015): Max Factor, Beauty Theory, Colour Theory, Bourjois, Face Of Australia, MAC

Hello wello,

Only a bit less than 2 weeks and it'll be Christmas! What's everyone's Christmas' plans?

I personally haven't figured what to do yet. It's hard cause I don't even know what I'm gonna eat tomorrowwwwwww. And then I have friends asking me "What's your new years resolutions?". lol. Reaaaaally?! >_<

And I've got so many posts to catch up on. Please be patient!(*/∇\*)

MAX FACTOR Lipfinity Long-lasting Lipstick ($23.95)
These were launched last month. Don't think I've mentioned them in my previous post... These lippies claim to be long-wearing, moisturising and bold. Lasts up to 8 hours. I've managed to grab one of these at the markets for $2! Still need to blog about that... woops.

BEAUTY THEORY Make-Up Brush Cleaner ($10/200mL)
Beauty Theory, is a fairly new brand, so it's no surprise if you haven't heard of em. They're available at selected pharmacies (Amcal, I believe) and reminds me a lot of Ulta3 (as a brand). Their new Make-Up Brush Cleaner is a spray-on brush cleaner that removes dirt and make-up from brushes easily AND effectively. Lightly fragranced with French vanilla! ヽ(゚∇゚)ノ

BOURJOIS Air Mat Foundation ($27/6 shades)
The only foundation of this month! Offers even coverage and a matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours. The formula is infuseed with air to create a soft, and smooth texture, so hence, "Air Mat" as the name.

FACE OF AUSTRALIA
Also launched last month, were these two brow products. To be honest, their packaging looks really off from the usual FOA packaging. A bit different from the bunch, not sure what the team is up to~

  • Precision Brow Pencil ($7.95/2 shades)
  • Brow Sculpting Gel ($9.95/2 shades)

Alongside a few other [interesting products]..

Kajal Eyeliner Stix ($5.95/6 shades)
FOA's latest limited edition, which are eye pencils that also work as eyeshadows. Creamy and "ultra pigmented", these pencils are described to be long-wearing and intense. They remind me a lot of Ulta3's range which happened not so long ago.

Mascaras ($7.95/3 types)
Adding to the brow products, these 3 new [limited edition] mascaras are also what I meant when I said "they just don't seem very FOA-esque". So bright and bold. Thought they had a range of mascaras like these some time ago tooo..

  • Lashed Up Mascara, offers volume and curl
  • Max Xtend Mascara, promises length and volume
  • 90 Degrees Mascara, is the most interesting one of the bunch, offers thickness and length

Eyeshadow Palettes ($18.92/2 palettes)
Everyone has been hearing about these twooooooo! Another brand's play on neutral-shadow palettes.

  • Naked Eyeshadow Palette, contains 15 warm and cool tones. Features a mixture of rich browns, shimmery taupes, soft neutrals and a matte black. Contains pearl, shimmer, satin and matte finishes.
  • Nude Eyeshadow Palette, contains 15 earthy tones. Features soft nudes, pinks, darker browns, and taupes in pearl, shimmer, satin and matte finishes.

Paw Paw Ointment Jar ($7.95)
A limited edition paw paw ointment jar. Simple as that, lol.

Stay On Eye Primer ($8.95)
Aaaaaaaand last product of the bunch, their eyeshadow primer. They had one before in a creamy-pot if anyone remembers.. This looks much more convenient to use! It is described to have a "creamy fomula, that helps eyeshadows adhere and last". Suitable for sensitive skin too!

COLOUR THEORY Jumbo Lip Crayons ($8/4 shades)
Preeeeetty sure this is a new range by Colour Theory! New range, and new shades! Won't speak too much on these, they are what they are! :P

Pecan Pie, Redy-Or-Not, Sweet Tart, Rose Wood

essie Summer 2015 Collection ($16.95/6 shades)
New season, new collection! So cuteeeeeeeeeee, these shades! (*/∇\*)

MAC
A week ago, MAC launched their latest [limited edition] collection, I believe -- Dark Desires. A run down of what it contains:

Image from here >

  • The Well Eyeshadows ($35/6 shades
  • Mascaras ($42/2 shads)
  • Lipsticks ($36/4 shades)
  • Nail Lacquers ($22/2 shades)
  • MAC Studio Eye Gloss ($42/3 shades)
  • Kohl Fluidline Eye Liner ($35/1 shade)
  • Kohl Power Eye Pencils ($32/4 shades)
  • Brush ($45), not pictured, but is available in 246 Synthetic Fluffy Eye Brush.

They also have new products I believe! Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, cause I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes down to these higher-end brands, haha. (⊃‿⊂)

Huggable Lip Colours ($40/15 shades)

Fluidline Pen ($35/3 shades)

Aaaaaaaaaaand that's a wrap for this month's! The last new items for the year of 2015... Hmmmmm. What do you think?

I'd love me some Huggable Lip Colours by MAC, but I'd also love me some moola in ma pockets for Christmas, so... rather not.

Besides that, I can't wait to try the Max Factor lippy that I picked up from the markets!

Let you know about it soon!

Meanwhile, remember to SLIP SLOP SLAP and keep hydrated for the recent hot temp Aussie darlings!

MANI-MONDAY: Fall In Line

Since my last encounter with an irregular green by Revlon, Spanish Moss ($16.95), I've been gaining more interest in irregular greens, especially the ones with dusty-grey tones.

Last Sunday, as I was prancing around at the markets, I happened to cross a lovely lady who was selling sooooo many essie nail polishes. And so, I hauled home essie Fall In Line, a dusty-green with military vibes.

Fall In Line ($16.95) was featured in this year's fall collection, in June/July. Not sure if you could get your hands on em anymore... limited edition, aha.  (⌒_⌒;)

Took me two coats to hit opacity, which is the norm, really.

It's nice, but I can't imagine myself wearing it again.. especially since us Aussies have stepped into Spring! Time to rock them cute yellows, and warming corals! Kekeke. (*/∇\*)

What do you think?

So many assessments to do, I'm sooooooooooooo stressed! Hopefully I'll get pass them soon. I've many ideas for posts, but I just don't have time to photograph... ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ

NEW ON COUNTER (June 2015): MAC, Australis, Rimmel London, Bourjois, Max Factor

A SMALL UPDATE:

O-M-G!

You would not believe, but May was the busiest month for me (so far). From celebrating birthday, to school and the workload that comes with it... Brrrrr.

Just last Saturday, I entered the 14th Chinese Bridge Competition, which is a Chinese proficiency state competition for college students. There were 11 contestants amongst three universities across Sydney! There were 1 first prize, and 2 second prizes... anddddddd............

I've won one of the second prizes, guys!

As a runner up of the second prize, I was eligible to travel to China for free. However, since my score was marked as the lower score of the two second prizes, I'm not qualified to present on their TV program... which is poo. But nevertheless, still a very valuable and fun experience!

As I will only be going as the observer, I've decided to pass on the opportunity, and pick my Taiwan tour trip (which will be happening mid-June to mid-July) instead. So, not too many posts more, then I will be leaving you guys again! *weeps*

So that's the update about what's been happening. Let's move onto launches, shall we?

I've also been more active on my Facebook page, so do hop over and follow me thee if you'd like!
See you guys in my next post (hopefully, will be sometime soon).

NEW ON COUNTER: Bourjois, essie, Revlon, L'Oreal, Garnier, Nivea, Palmer's [...]

Late launches this month. Reason? I was waiting for the 30th or 31st to procrastinate on this launch post, but it wasn't until one night when I went out that I realised it's Feb, and Feb only has 28 days! /lol

Such a bimbo, I am~

{MAKE UP}

BOURJOIS PARIS

Mega Liner Ultra Black ($24)
It's not usual to see an eyeliner as part of a limited edition collection [for the drugstores]. These are described to be "eyeliners with a pigment as black as calligraphy ink". Long-lasting and smudge-proof for up to 24 hours.

Colour Edition 24H Eyeshadows ($20/2 shades)
Limited edition eyeshadow with a long-wearing formula that lasts for up to 24 hours. Available in a golden beige (Flocon d'or) and a dusky brown (Marron givre).

Volume 1 Seconde Ultra Black Mascara ($23)
They've launched a similar product before, with a similar name, except this one is "Ultra Black" with claims to last up to 16 hours. Ultra-volumising, long-lasting and and ultra-black.

NUDE BY NATURE

Pressed Matte Mineral Bronzer ($39.95)
A matte bronzing powder that provides skin a warm, sunkissed glow. Why so expensive?! @_@

Pressed Mattifying Mineral Veil ($29.95)
Light weight, semi-matte pressed finishing powder, suitable for all skin types.

Pressed Natural Mineral Cover ($39.95)
Pressed powder foundation that pvodies medium to full coverage.

REVLON Ultra HD Lipstick ($23.95/20 shades)
Lippies!!!!!!! Yay! These lippies feature high-definition gel technology (wat dat???) to provide intense colour in one coat. Weightless, applies evenly, and has a whipped vanilla and mango scent (sounds yum!).

RIMMEL Apocalips Lip Velvet Matte ($15.95)
No idea how many shades these are in, and I also don't have any information, but I'm sure you have heard much about these!

MAX FACTOR Creme Puff Pressed Powder ($24.95)
A pressed powder which offers a superfine, matte coverage. Claims to stand the test of time. Also described to give a soft, luminous and subtle glow...... Huh?

{NAILS}

ESSIE Fall Collection ($16.95/6 shades)
Yay!!! Essie's fall collection! Limited edition, of course. The range includes inky cobalts, autumnal reds and muted greys. Available from March through to April only.

L'OREAL Colour Riche Le Vernis The Shades of Grey Collection ($7.95/6 shades)
OMGGG. Another nail collection, dedicated to 50 Shades Of Grey (although they don't officially state it, it totally is!). Has anyone watched the movie?? How did it go?!

Don't ask me why there at 7 bottles

{SKINCARE}

GARNIER Skin Naturals 2 in 1 Express Eye Makeup Remover ($7.95)
Launched last month, apparently. The packaging reminds me a lot of their Micellar Cleansing Water! This is a dual-phase eye make up remover though, with 30% oil and 70% water. Works to remove intense, long-wearing, waterproof eye makeup. Lightweight, and doesn't leave an oily film.

NIVEA Cellular Anti-Age
Three new products in this range~ Includes a day cream SPF15 ($27.99), an eye cream ($27.99) and a night cream ($27.99).

PALMER'S Illuminating Brightening Eye Serum ($14.99)
Firms and moisturisers the delicate skin around the eys. Works to hydrate, lift and illuminate the skin, whilst helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles. I've used something like this before, and wasn't too impressed. So I'd pass.

Think I've included most items!

What are you eye-ing?!

Don't think there's much for me this month. The Apocalips Matte looks nice, but for the upcoming Autumn, I'm thinking to give dark lippies a go, so currently, not looking to add anymore to the stash!

Saturday/Sunday Steals Vol.32: OPI, essie, MUA, NYX, Bourjois, EA, Revlon

HOLY GOLLY~

It's been such a LONG time since I've posted about my hauls, that I didn't even remember what I used to call them... lol.

My last post about it was back in 2013.. holy shit.

Urgh, glad to be back on track now. I've been cutting down on haulage at the markets, so you can expect slowly build-ups of these posts, and no more weekly haul!

So these products, I've purchased them from Sunday markets, Trash & Treasure.

I've purchased 3 OPI polishes and 2 Nicole by OPI polishes~ Taupeless Beach, I'm sure is a fake. I didn't realise at the time, but I've checked its batch code online for production date, and there are no results. Bummer!

The middle is called Manicurist of Seville, and the last one is authentic, but the seller must've peeled off the bottom label, so no idea what the name is.

The two NICOLE BY OPIs are Brrr Brrr Burgundy and For Gold Times Sake. These were only $2 each.

I also stumbled across a young lady's stall, who were selling cosmetics for only $2 each. I picked up a lipstick by Sleek, called Loved Up and a Revlon lippy in Grape. Way too dark for me. Looking at a shade like this makes me miss my dark-lippy-lover friend, Alice, a lot!

Loved Up & Grape

Honey Nectar & Chaos

I also chose two NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils. I've never liked any NYX products I've used (ahem, Round Lipsticks), but I thought I'd give these a go! The shades are called Honey Nectar and Chaos. I've worn Chaos twice and I'm loving how it wears so far!

AND three blushers, from different sellers: Elizabeth Arden in Tea Rose ($4), MUA in Shade 5 ($2) and Bourjois in Rose ($2).

Lastly, two essie nail polishes in Secret Story ($2) and Mod Squad ($5).

That's it!

Altogether, a $35 haul. Not bad, not bad. Minus that fake OPI~

Mani-Monday: Beach Bum Blu

Ta-daa! My most recent purchase, essie Beach Bum Blue ($16.95) from the markets..

To be honest, I'm picky when it comes down to blue nail polishes, and ESPECIALLY if it's of a metallic finish! I've said this before, and will say it again: the only acceptable metallics are gold, bronze, silver and some pearls. Metallic finishes for any other colours seems to never look right in my eyes!

So! Beach Bum Blu, cute name, but unfortunately not an exception from my list of "awkward metallics". It's described as a "medium sea side blue", although pretty, is one that I'd probably only reach for when I'm doing nail art.

..And as I was typing up this post, I actually got down to nail-arting with Beach Bum Blu!! Hopefully I'll be able to show you in my next post!

2.30AM now! Chop chop, and off to sleep I go!

Hope you're all having a fresh and lovely Monday!
