BYS Blusher Review*

If you reside within Australia, you should be fairly familiar with BYS (Be Your Self) cosmetics. You probably have seen them at a GLOSS store and/or selected pharmacies/stores.

Many have wondered if BYS is somehow comparable for the well-known American NYX. I'm not entirely sure, but here's my review for the BYS blusher that I own in #4 Candyfloss.
BYS Blushers comes in 6 different shades (as far as I know of) in a simple black squared-plastic packaging, which looks quite cheap I'd say. But as it's only $3.95 each, you couldn't ask for more.

The bottom of the blusher locates the name of the shade, barcode, packaging details and the ingredient list.

#4 Candyfloss is a light pink with a luminous finish which I'm not sure if this [finish] runs through the range. As for the pigmentation, I do think it's not that fantastic as it does apply quite sheer. Its long-lasting power is actually not that great also as I do find that it fades within the day.

Altogether, it's a cheap, sheer, short-lasting-and-containing-talc blush which has a lovable luminous finish.

Would I repurchase this product?
I might in the purple shade, but besides that, I wouldn't.

Hope you Aussie girls find this review helpful!

  1. Oooh, interesting! I had no idea that BYS stood for "Be Your Self". That's pretty neat! HAHAHA

And thanks for that cute comment. You are such a babe, seriously! HAHA. :$

Looking forward to your next post... as always! xD

I hope all has been well. xx

  2. The shade seems pretty but I'll probably give this a miss. Don't like the idea of poor lasting power, talc and sheerness all in one, lol.

Thanks for the honest review ^_^

  3. Thanks for the review :)
I live in a super small town so things like Revlon and Maybelline are high end to us and then BYS is "drugstore" haha.

  4. great review :) I'd actually heard some great things about BYS blushers, I heard they were crazy pigmented, haha. Glad I read this first, thanks ^^

  5. I never see this product before and at the first time I look I think it was NYX! lol
I hope I can try this product too someday :)

  6. It looks quite pretty! :) I'd love to see more BYS reviews

  7. I didn't know BYS stood for "be yourself", that's cool. They are great colours. You have a wonderful blog by the way, I love it! I cannot wait to read more of your posts and will definitly check back for updates!! You're also incredibly beautiful (but you probably get that all of the time)!

    All the best,

  8. I've never heard of this brand but it definitely looks like an Australian version of NYX! haha~ I never knew talc was that bad for you o__o well.. bad for acne anyways~ Now I want to be on the lookout for talc in my makeup! O: Thank you for the review!

  9. Thank you for commenting on my ombre nail post! :D So which colors did you take? Why did you fail? haha :D I wanna see it! (:

The blush looks very nice to your skintone! SO do you have only this shade or a few more?

  10. BYS blusher definitely causes break out! I've been using MAC blusher all these while and they've never given me any problems until i started using BYS a few days ago and i've got two huge pimples and a few red spots all over my cheeks. Highly discourage BYS blushers!
