Saturday/Sunday Steals Vol.32: OPI, essie, MUA, NYX, Bourjois, EA, Revlon

HOLY GOLLY~

It's been such a LONG time since I've posted about my hauls, that I didn't even remember what I used to call them... lol.

My last post about it was back in 2013.. holy shit.

Urgh, glad to be back on track now. I've been cutting down on haulage at the markets, so you can expect slowly build-ups of these posts, and no more weekly haul!

So these products, I've purchased them from Sunday markets, Trash & Treasure.

I've purchased 3 OPI polishes and 2 Nicole by OPI polishes~ Taupeless Beach, I'm sure is a fake. I didn't realise at the time, but I've checked its batch code online for production date, and there are no results. Bummer!

The middle is called Manicurist of Seville, and the last one is authentic, but the seller must've peeled off the bottom label, so no idea what the name is.

The two NICOLE BY OPIs are Brrr Brrr Burgundy and For Gold Times Sake. These were only $2 each.

I also stumbled across a young lady's stall, who were selling cosmetics for only $2 each. I picked up a lipstick by Sleek, called Loved Up and a Revlon lippy in Grape. Way too dark for me. Looking at a shade like this makes me miss my dark-lippy-lover friend, Alice, a lot!

Loved Up & Grape

Honey Nectar & Chaos

I also chose two NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils. I've never liked any NYX products I've used (ahem, Round Lipsticks), but I thought I'd give these a go! The shades are called Honey Nectar and Chaos. I've worn Chaos twice and I'm loving how it wears so far!

AND three blushers, from different sellers: Elizabeth Arden in Tea Rose ($4), MUA in Shade 5 ($2) and Bourjois in Rose ($2).

Lastly, two essie nail polishes in Secret Story ($2) and Mod Squad ($5).

That's it!

Altogether, a $35 haul. Not bad, not bad. Minus that fake OPI~

New On Counter: Lush, Maybelline, Rimmel, essence, Sally Hansen, Revlon, OPI, Australis

February is here.. And we all know that February = Valentine's Day, which is also almost here... (¬▂¬)

This post is well made for the month of V'tines -- so so so many products this month. I'm going solo this year for V'tines [again], so unfortunately, no one I can show and hint this post too.. besides myself!

Anyone else feel me there?

Their latest 50 Shades Of Grey nail collection just landed in stores [approx] a week ago, if you haven't seen em yet! Some swatches here >

❻ Lonely Heart Bubble Bar ($6.95)
Heart-shaped bubble bar with gold glitters (!!) that turns bath water red. Made with lemongrass oils, bergamot, jasmine and ylang ylang to keep skin soft and moisturised.

❼ The Kiss Lip Scrub ($9.95)

Holy golly, so many Lush products... Now to Maybelline!

MAYBELLINE
Lots of rookies by Maybelline for this month too... *physically wilts*

❶ Dream Wonder Foundation ($21.95/8 shades)
A lightweight, liquid foundation with a natural finish. Silky and buildable, contains SPF20 and blends easily. Also comes with an easy-to-use applicator. I've looked online and the applicator looks like a... q-tip?!

❷ Master Glaze Blush Stick ($15.95/4 shades)
Stick blush, designed to deliver a dewy shine. Formulated with liquid shimmer pearls, and has a creamy formula that'll melt upon contact with the skin, for that seamless and even application!

❸ Master Hi-Light Highlighting Blush and Bronzer ($19.95/4 shades)
Multi-tonal palette. The shades are formulated with dimensional colour beads that works together to match individual complexions, whilst subtly highlighting the skin. Soft, weightless and velvety finish.

❹ Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil ($9.95/10 shades)
A chubby lip pencil that offers a bold, semi-matte finish! Less than $10... A bit unusual for a lip product by MNY, don't you think?

❺ Color Show Lip Gloss ($9.95/5 shades)
A high-shine lip gloss, with light shimmering particles and a creamy formula. Offers a high, reflective shine and a smooth, soft finish.

❻ Volum' Express Colossal Pumped Up! Mascara ($19.95/2 shades)
A volumising mascara, with a double-curved system, which means double the coats of mascara [apparently]!

RIMMEL LONDON
Rimmel is also launching a few products. Although lesser than Lush and Maybelline, but they're just as enabling..

❶ Scandaleyes Jumbo Liquid Eyeliner ($12.95)
Another addition to the Scandaleyes collection! Labelled as Rimmel's thickest eyeliner, this felt-tip jumbo pen is suppose to offer precision and control. "Ultra-black colour and stays put for 24 hours" is the catchy claim. Also waterproof and resistant to sweat, heat and humidity. Inteeeeeeeeeresting!

❷ Scandaleyes Precision Micro Liner ($12.95)
Another interesting felt-tip, with an interesting claim such as, being "ultra-black, and tattoo-like that dries in seconds and lasts for up to 24 hours".

❸ Scandaleyes Kate Mascara ($16.95)
Last of the bunch [by Rimmel] is this mascara, first mascara designed by Kate Moss -- intensely black, with a brush shaped of a "broken heart" to deliver dramatic volume.

SALLY HANSEN
Two products this month!

❶ 18K Gold Cuticle Eraser ($12.95)
Renews, softens and improves the appearance of rough, parched cuticles. Features an applicator tip with a nibbed exfoliator and built-in cutitcle pusher. And you asked if it contains real gold?
Apparently so.

❷ 18K Gold Hardener ($16.95)
Goes hand-in-hand with the cuticle eraser, is this! A nail strengthener that locks in moisture. Again, contains "18-carat-gold" with this, that, and something else that protects and strengthen nails. Sixty seconds drying time, and can be worn under the nails or over, for a hint of sparkle.

REVLON

❶ PhotoReady Airbrush Effect Makeup ($36.95/12 shades)
Revlon's latest liquid foundation, that offers an airbrushed look. Medium to full coverage, oil-free, fragrance-free, with SPF20!

❷ PhotoReady Prime + Anti Shine Balm ($29.95)
The packaging looks funky, huh?! It's a multi-use face balm (what the..?) and primer that can be worn alone or under make-up. Clear, lightweight formula that also minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines.

❸ PhotoReady Insta-Fix Makeup ($29.95/9 shades)
That name!!! INSTA-FIX. Does anyone else find the name a tad inappropriate for a mid-ranged brand?
Anyways, it's a lightweight stick foundation, designed to retouch skin throughout the day. Delivers coverage to problem areas for a flawless finish, with SPF20.

Sat-Swatches: 50 Shades Of Grey

WHO is going to watch 50 Shades Of Grey?

Not me.. But if you ask WHO has 50 Shades Of Grey, then the answer is...

Me!!!~

Yeah, 50 Shades Of Grey nail polishes. And I don't mean I own 50 different shades of grey nail polishes, but the latest collection by OPI that goes hand in hand with the coming-soon movie!

Does anyone else think Ana's shoulder look weird here??

It features 6 shades ($19.95), and also comes in a mini-collection ($29.95) as per usual [OPI collection].

I was provided 3 to try, because I just can't afford them! (⌒_⌒;) However, out of the six, the one that intrigues me most is My Silk Tie. I've seen swatches of it, and it looks amazingly foily! Such a beaut!

Anyways, the ones I have to show are...

Embrace The Gray, Romantically Involved, Dark Side Of The Mood

EMBRACE THE GRAY
A medium-toned grey. The pigmentation isn't bad at all! Two coats would do me fine, but for the fullest opacity, I went with three. The shade is not really for me though. I like, and don't mind greys, but this is just a tad too dark~ :P

ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED
I haven't worn red nails in SUCH a long time, that I forgot how much they compliment my skintone. This one is a medium creme red, giving off sexy and sultry vibes. Maybe also blame the name for those vibes, haha.

DARK SIDE OF THE MOOD
Ooooooh~ A charcoal-grey creme, with slight blue tones. Surprisingly, this was less opaque than Embrace The Gray. You'd think it'll be much more pigmented and that two coats would hit the spot for it is a darker colour, but nay. I needed three coats for the opacity!

That's it~ My top pick out of the three would have to be Romantically Involved. There's just something about it!

What's YOUR pick?

Sorry for the bombard of nail posts lately!! I had to get this up before tomorrow's launches~

Tomorrow's launches will be extremely long, and exciting! Thirty products and counting, so please stay tuna'd!

Priceline 40% OFF: Recommendations, Wishlist, Misses

Hi peepos~ If you follow me on Insta, or Priceline and/or other bloggers, you would've seen these cute pink ads poppin' up everywhere...

What a wonderful sale to follow Australia Day, right? XD

I wanted to quickly whip up a post sharing with you my top fewer picks, what's on my wishlist AND recommendations!! I may not be the best skincare-guru (not that I am a guru of any sort), but I have been through a quite a few drugstore skincare products (the budget-range, that is) ~ XD

RECOMMENDATIONS

St Ives Naturally Clear Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub ($9.99 - $6.00 after sale)
I know, I know... the scrubby bits in this product may not be the best for the environment, but when it comes down to picking the best exfoliator... this may just be it for me! Extremely scrubby!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Cleansers* ($10.99 - $6.60 after sale)
I've used these, reviewed one here. The scent of all 3 are amazing (they are supposed to wake you up in the morning). My pick would have to be between the yellow and orange, but formula-wise, I don't think there are too much differences between the three.

Sukin Purely Ageless Botanical Hydration Booster ($23.95 - $14.35 after sale)
Perfect for the upcoming colder seasons, especially if you're a dry skin babe. Substitutes in as a night cream, and you only need 2 drops maximum!

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser* ($9.95 - $6.00 after sale)
I don't usually do "foaming" cleansers, but this is a gentle one that doesn't strip the moisture of the skin. Also removes leftover make-up. Highly recommended! P.S. You may need time to adjust to scents of Sukin's products~

EcoTools Intensive Hand Cream* (???)
Ah!! I tried to find details about this product, but there's barely any~ I'm not too sure if it's discontinued, but if you happen to find this, then do peek at it. It's a really good hand cream. The scent may be odd at first, but I just love moisturising formula and non-sticky, non-slippery feel altogether!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion with Vitamin E* ($9.29 - $5.60 after sale)
The scent of this is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. It's one of my top favourites! The formula is a tad heavy, so only suitable for those with very dry skin, or night-use. For day use, I find it waaay too heavy, but the scent is really... amazing.

Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash* ($9.95 - $6.00 after sale)
If you're looking for a body wash that'll make a difference -- this is it! Body washes all feels the same for me, besides this one. It actually leaves the skin feeling moisturised! My top pick for body washes.

WISHLIST
St. Ives Triple Butters Creamy Vanilla Body Wash ($5.49 - $3.20 after sale)
Haven't tried this, but its name (and packaging!) is pretty catchy! I love vanilla-scented products, and the price of this is fairly cheap!

PRODUCTS TO SKIP

St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub ($9.99 - $6.00 after sale)
I held onto this product for looong time, and I still think it's sitting around in my bathroom. It's just not scrubby enough for my liking. It's more creamy and gentle, so would work much better as a cleanser. Absolutely a miss for me.

Sukin Cream Cleanser ($9.95 - $6.00 after sale)
Gentle cleansers are ideally what we'd like for our skin, right? But this cleanser is just..... too gentle. As a cream cleanser, it surely does pack back moisture into the skin, but cleansing-wise... not really. Way too gentle to cleanse off any make-up residue. Such a shame~

Beauty Essentials (also known as BE)
Priceline's own brand, I believe. I've purchased two products from this range, and I've only ever touched them once. I can't remember much about the make-up remover, but the scrub I bought was just watery and barely made my skin feel any better~ Skipping this whole range, forever.

That's all for my recommendations, wishlist and misses~

Feel free to share with us YOUR recs/wishlist/misses!
