Updates: Old Posts

Hi Everyone!!! I hope you're all doing well and enjoyed my previous post.

I just wanted to let you know that I am going to be fixing photos and contents of my previous posts whether it's a review (opinions will still remain the same) or swatch.

Photos will be re-edited, because I want everything of my posts to be consistent and up to date with the recent ones!

And I've recently learnt how to correct colours so they are more true to life, so I'd also like to update my previous swatches! ^_^

I'd be tweeting and placing links on my Facebook page, so you can keep up to date with me on those social platforms!

Besides that, I hope you all have a wonderful start to the week!

Hello hello!

Hey lovelies! I've haven't posted anything person and non-beauty related for such a long time... so here it is!

Thanks for the awesome comments on my previous post. Some people found the way I expressed myself very amusing and some even think it's an awesome post... hahahhaha.

Honestly, I felt like a bitch typing that post up. I thought it'd be too rude and offensive! Oh wells...

Moving on...

So.. today, 7/11 (a petrol station) held a 'BYO Cup' day where you bring your own cup, pay $2.60 and you can fill up your whole cup whether it's small or large.

So I went with a few people and bought our cups to fill up of course.

HAHAHAH

HAHAHHAHAHAAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

Bro, might as well take the whole machine home with ya.

I'm just kidding, neither photos are of my friends. I found those photos from Facebook and thought I'd show you guys. Heh.

I DID go to 7/11 to fill up my cup though... which was a mug :) I couldn't finish it thoughhhhhh :(

It looks so colourful and pretty! :)

On another note, I recently received my blogger business cards from Vistaprint for this weekend at Sydney IMATS and ABBW (Australian Beauty Blogger Weekend)! I designed it first, and then re-designed my whole blog template to match it! I'm quite proud of myself to be honest (hehehe).

What I'm unhappy about is the font size of the business card. It's so so so small which makes it a tad hard to read. What do you think? My biz cards look so kiddy LOL. I wonder if anyone would want to take them if I hand them out!

The last breaking news is that I've finally been able to rock red lipsticks! Can y'all believe? I never wear red lipsticks because it makes my teeth look yellow and puts emphasis on my acne scars. But I had a full face of make-up done today and left the house with this red lipstick!

Meh, it doesn't look very intensified in the photo.. but it's actually a gorgeous red-coral by Rimmel London in Tell No One from their Color Show Off range.

Finally been able to jump out of my comfort nudey-pink zone. Hahaha. I still love my pinks though! I might do a post soon of my pink faves!

Hope you've had a wonderful day!

Updates: Finished my make-up assignment! :D

I'm SOOOOOOOO happy everyone! I spent the past 3 days working on my assignment.. putting the practical part together and finishing off the theory part!

I'm SO happy to say that I've finally finished and I just wanna show you guys!

I needed to put together the face sketches and the photos... I haven't finished it YET, because I haven't put it all together. But I will be working on it soon since it'll only takes 5 mins before I'm officially done!!!

Sad to say that tomorrow is the last day at TAFE... Not exactly the last day, the last make-up lesson which isn't even a lesson :(

Anyways.. I never knew how much FUN it was playing with make-up on paper!!! Enjoyed every single second I tell ya! ;)

Glamour make-up!

Bridal make-up [on my sister]!

Fun fun fun! I'll update about the portfolio soon! It's due at 9AM tomorrow... SHARP. Even a minute late, I'll lose marks! So I better keep going! :)

Goodnight sweethearts!

Considerations if you're gonna take Roaccutane

This is continual post about Roaccutane, if you haven't read my previous post, here's the link.

Roaccutane is a prescribed medication by dermatologists only to help victims with severe-mild acne, just in case you didn't know.

I've finished my phase of Roaccutane now. A month ago or so. And here's an update of how everything's been for my skin and what I've learnt from my make-up class.

I've been on Roaccutane since mid-last year (around there) and has finally finished mid-April 2011. I was told by the dermatologist that unfortunately 5% of the medication-users can still have acne after finishing, so hopefully I'm not in that 5%, because I will cry my eyeballs out. Acne has been bugging me for a while now, and it sucks boogers. Honestly.

I've finished in mid-April and thank god SO much that it has gone away, and it will continue to stay this way [according to dermatologist and many other successful users]. The few days after, I realise I do have pimples here and there on my cheeks so I threated, but my skin is perfectly fine now.

Now, for anyone who considers to use Roaccutane, there are MANY important factors you MUST consider...

Briefly, what this drug do is that it stops ALL the oil in your skin, so it becomes dry and flaky as you take it.. and this also stops the acne. It also makes your skin HEAPS dehydrated and for those who don't know what dehydrated skin, it's those faint scaly lines you have on your forehead. Go take a look in the mirror now, I'm sure you'll be able to see it.

Because your skin and body will get SO dehydrated, you definitely will need to drink alot of water to help this and the only way to completely hydrate your skin is by your sweat. Yes. I know it sounds gross but that's how it works. Your sweat is the only thing that will hydrate your skin.

Something that also bugs me is that now I have a scar in between my brows from eyebrow waxing. This drug also thinner out your skin, so you will most likely won't be able to visit the salon until 6 months after you finish your Roaccutane. Waxing is a hair removal process that you must exclude, so instead, go for plucking.

Your skin will also become more sensitive to the sun, so sunscreen must be applied frequently, but I always skip that step... which is quite silly of me :(

During your process of taking Roaccutane, you cannot fall pregnant also! So if you have a family, do remember your personal contraceptive preferences. Because this drug is so strong, it will cause an impact on the baby and you don't wanna risk that!

There are many other negative impacts which comes with these 20mgs capsules such as depression which CAN cause suicidal practices, so if you're an emotional person, please beware and most of all... be strong!

These days, because of these suicidal stories by the drug, dermatologists no longer prescribe Roaccutane. However, some still do... so if your dermatologist do suggest that you should go on this....

Please consider:
  • Your skin will become sensitive to the sun
  • Your skin will become more thin, prone to waxing as it'll leave scars
  • You cannot be pregnant during the process
  • The drug CAN cause a depression phase which could be suicidal
  • Your skin will go through a phase of extreme dry and flakiness

Please research more about this drug as I am no dermatologist or beauty therapist, so I cannot tell you ALL about this and what it does!

Yours deerest,
