NEW ON COUNTER (APR 17): Australis, Revlon, Avon, Benefit, Sally Hansen, Elizabeth Arden

Currently on break from uni and such... Sleeping in feels like such a blessing!

A few snaps of things I've been getting up to:

#photo

AUSTRALIS Bae Watch Mascara ($14.95)
A mascara designed for volume, curl, lift and lengthens. Clump-free and intensely pigmented.

AVON True Colour Wide Awake Mascara ($14.99)
Same-same in terms of claims, but in addition, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

BENEFIT They're Real Double the Lip ($36/8 shades)
Coooooooooool? I actually can't remember the last time I've heard any lippy news from Benefit! This is supposed to be a liner and lippy, two-in-one product.

COVERGIRL Katy Kat (in collaboration with Katy Perry)

  • Mascara ($18.95/2 shades): offers a dramatic look, for a cat-eye look.
  • Matte Lipstick ($17.95/11 shades)

ELIZABETH ARDEN Lasting Impression Mascara ($42/2 shades)
Delivers length, separation and definition. Another mascara! (y am i not surprised?)

REVLON BEAUTY TOOLS

  • 4-in-1 Blending Sponge ($10.95): Very interestingly shaped beauty blender!
  • Brush & Sponge Daily Cleanser ($14.95)
  • Professional Blending Brush ($15.95): Like a beauty-blender, but as a brush instead.

REVLON

  • Colorstay 2-in-1 Angled Kajal ($23.95/4 shades) -- A dual-ended angled eyeliner with an attached brush. Waterproof.
  • Colorstay Brow Crayon ($25.95/3 shades) -- Blendable and buildable brow crayon for defining the brows.
  • Colorstay Brow Pencil ($22.95/5 shades) -- Dual-ended brow pencil that fills and tames the brows.

SALLY HANSEN Miracle Gel Rustic Charm Collection ($16.95/6 shades)
Six limited edition shades inspired by the autumnal country landscapes! It's actually so new that I can't even find photos of the shade range, soz.

SCOTT CORNWALL Hair Toners ($16.99/3 shades)
I don't usually feature hair products but these surely do look interesting! Available in three different shades.

Short and sweet this month, not many products at all. Nothing very intriguing this month. The Covergirl Katy Kat lippies, I've already got my hands on those.

As for the three mascaras, not really!

I've been experimenting with MAYBELLINE The Falsies Push Up Mascara ($21.95) and I've been loving it so far, therefore, not looking to change anytime soon.

The Revlon beauty blending sponge definitely has my attention, but the last time I've purchased blending sponges from drugstore brands (ahem, Australis!), I was fairly disappointed so........ probably not!

What do you think?

Let me know!

NEW ON COUNTER (AUGUST 2016): Revlon, Rimmel London, Covergirl, Max Factor, Carmex, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, PONi, Givenchy

Wassup strangerssssssss. Jokes.

I know I've been inactive, but please don't forget me. Recently, my daily schedule goes something like: wake up, work/uni, gym/out, sleep, and then repeat.

Maaaaaan. I barely have time to sit by my computer to even transfer music, so I've had absolutely no time to sit down and prepare posts.

I've recently bought 20+ lipsticks by Urban Decay from my make-up dealer from the market though. So bloody keen on trying, and swatching them, but I just can't find the time! Saddddddd.

AND NO I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE PROMISED-STEVE K LIP SWATCHES POST. DON'T YOU WORRRRRRRRRY.

I have an upcoming Maths essay though, 2000 words, who's keen to help?

❶ COVERGIRL Plumpify blastPRO Mascara ($21.95)
Features a smudge-proof formula along with a "double-action" brush which helps apply product from root to tip. Absolutely no idea whether it volumises, lengthens or separates, lol. Thx Covergirl.

COVERGIRL TruNaked Eyeliner Duo ($13.95/3 shades)
Dual-ended eyeliner. Blendable, creamy, intense, long-wearing and waterproof bby!

CARMEX Lime Twist and Vanilla Click Sticks ($6.99)
Alright, I know this is random, but I actually really like the look of this, LMAO.

MAX FACTOR Masterpiece Nude Palette ($34.95)
I've seen this palette around! Was launched last month. Features eight neutral/smoky shades. Available in two variations: Glow and Tonal.

PONi Pegasus Liquid Liner ($29)
OK. I've never ever seen this brand before. This is the very first time seeing it. Initially, I thought it was a make-up line by Poni, the make-up artist from South Korea, who made her debut on YouTube! But it's not. PONi is an Australian-owned brand. Pretty new!

RIMMEL LONDON Brow This Way Highlighter Pencil ($9.95)
A highlighter pencil. Yeap. Simple. Available in matte and shimmer.

❼ RIMMEL LONDON Good To Glow Highlighter ($12.95)
A liquid highlighter that offers buildable glow. Can be worn over the high-points of the face, or mixed with foundation for a dewy look. Mmmmmmmm, yeah, not really sure about mixing it with foundation ay.

❽ BOBBI BROWN Retouching Face Pencil ($46/10 shades)
Pretty much concealer pencils. Can be used to retouch shadows and dark spots, cover redness and/or highlight the face.

❾ CLINIQUE Pop Liquid Matte Lip Colour + Primer ($40/?)
No idea how many shades they have for this range. It's listed as a "hybrid" lippy, that applies as a liquid, but dries matte. Full coverage, moisturising and non-sticky. ON COUNTER SOON -- 7 August!

CLINIQUE Pop Matte Matte Lip Colour + Primer ($40)
A lippy with a built-in primer. Highly pigmented, non-drying, offers a "suede-like" matte finish.

GIVENCHY BROW PRODUCTS
Another brow-based collection this month, by Givenchy. Didn't manage to blog last month, but just in case you haven't heard, Benefit released a brow-based collection just last month. A brief run through for this one though..
Eyebrow Definer ($40/1 shade), Le Rouge Vinyl ($47/16 shades), Eyebrow Pencil* ($39/3 shades)

Mister Brow Filler ($39/3 shades), Mister Brow Groom* ($39)

*Eyebrow Pencil, available exclusively to Sephora.
*Mister Brow Groom, only available in No.1 Translucent.

⓬ REVLON Eyes, Cheeks + Lips Palette ($34.95/3 palettes)
As the name states, a palette for the eyes, cheeks and lips. Features 6 ColorStay eyeshadow shades, a powder blush, two Super Lustrous lippy shades and two shades from their Super Lustrous lip gloss range. Also comes with a mini applicator and a mirror. Shades are coordinated to be universally flattering.

REVLON Super Lustrous Sheer Lipstick ($22.95/10 shades)
A new lippy range! A lite-version of their Super Lustrous lippy range, I'd assume.

SIMPLE Cleansing Facial Wipes with Aqua-Lock ($7.49)
An upgrade, or classier-version, of their original wipes. The difference: the wipes are made with a smoother, no-drag feel. The packaging features an "aqua-lock technology" which prevents the wipes from drying out. ON COUNTER SOON -- 15 August.

SIMPLE MISC SKINCARE
Also, expect these other two newbies to hit the counters soon!

Aaaaaaaaand that's a wrap for this month!

Quite a good mix of higher-end and lower-end brands for the month of August! What do ya think?

List me your favourites!

My picks: Carmex lip balms, and the two make-up remover products by Simple. Not sure why, but I'm always keen on Simple' skincare products. Perhaps it's the simplicity in their packaging and... because it's green? Haha.

Let me know what you think of these new launches!

01 March 2016

NEW ON COUNTER (MARCH 2016): Rimmel London, Revlon, essence, Covergirl, Bobbi Brown, Shiseido, YSL

Hello!

First day into Autumn, I hope you've all enjoyed Summer (for Australians, at least). I've became the tannest I've ever been my whole life last summer, and I'm not sure why. However, hoping that I'd go back to what I was this Autumn/Winter! No more tanning for me! Hopefully! (*´ェ`*)

Uni has started for me, again. And this semester is SOOOO busy! I've signed myself up for a language class, and 3 other theory classes. All which requires work placement, and also a lot of essay writings. Yet, I'm just here... chillin'... bloggin'.... haha.

BOBBI BROWN Cool Eye Shadow Palette ($115/on counter 6 March)
This one's limited edition. Features 12 nude shades in a range of different textures. Silky formula, smooth application and blends well, they said. Comes with a dual-ended brush. Available exclusively at Mecca Maxima or online.

BOBBI BROWN Brushes

  • Full Coverage Touch Up Brush ($54)
  • Concealer Brush ($37)

BOBBI BROWN Skin Foundation Cushion Compact SPF30 ($45/6 shades)
A-ha! Another cushion foundation. Last month, we had one by L'Oreal, remember? (*^^*) Well, this one is described to "stay fresh and delivers a true skin finish". Has skin tone correcting pigments, a silky formula and is packed with skin-boosting ingredients. Cushion compacts dispenses the perfect amount everytime. Refills are $20.00.

BOURJOIS Paris Arty Chic [COLLECTION]
I feel like I've seen this collection by Bourjois some time ago... Anyone think so too?

  • 1 Seconde Nail Enamel ($12/4 shades)
  • Aqua Blush ($23/1 shade) -- a liquid blush.
  • Rouge Edition Velvet ($24/2 shades) -- a matte lip colour.
  • Smoky Stories Quad Eyeshadow Palette ($24/2 shades)

CLINIQUE Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick ($50/9 shades)
I'm pretty sure this is made available in 9 shades! Could be more. These are creamy foundation sticks that delivers instant, buildable, long-wearing and natural looking coverage. Can be used for concealing or all over coverage!

COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Primer ($14.95)
As most primer claims: formulated to help prepare the skin and lengthen the wear of foundations. Smooths lines, minimises pores and reduces imperfections.

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation ($20.95/5 shades)
A lightweight luminous and radiant foundation (oooh!). Blends easily and formulated with vitamins and all that good stuff (that never really works to do anything).

ESSENCE All That Greys [COLLECTION]
Late 50 Shades Of Grey inspired collection? 。(*^▽^*)ゞ Kidding!

  • Nail Polish ($4.10/5 shades)
  • Smokey Eye Pencil ($6.15/2 shades)
  • Eyeshadow Palette ($6.15) -- I have this! I'll swatch it for ya this weekend! Promise!
  • Corner Lashes ($5.10)
  • Lipgloss ($4.10/2 shades)
  • Hair Bandeau ($4.10)
  • Loose Face & Body Powder ($6.75)
  • Unsure about that nail-sticker lookin' thing in the corner, sorry!

ESTEE LAUDER Brow Now All In One Brow Kit ($72/3 palettes)
Dam, that price doe. The only interesting thing about it is its claim to mimic the natural sheen of brow hair, since it is infused with "micro pearls". Eeep, $72 for these micro-pearls.. This better be brow-magic to anyone who decides to pick this up. On counter 13 March.

REVLON Mascaras ($21.95/5 formulas)
Umm, okay, so there are five different mascaras for this range... I wonder how different could they really be from each other (?)

RIMMEL LONDON Magnif'Eyes Double Ended Shadow & Liner ($16.95/4 shades)
A dual-ended tipped pen that features a long-lasting eyeshadow and a kohl kajal liner. Crease-proof, transfer-proof, and waterproof. Mmmmm, interesting! Would love to swatch these at the stores!

SHISEIDO Synchro Skin Foundation ($72)
Not sure how many shades, but I think this is the first time featuring Shiseido in my launches! Thought these looked pretty interesting, so here ya go! These are described to be a "long lasting liquid foundation that works to enhance the complexion. No creasing, and no fading! Available 27 March.

SUKIN Oil Balancing [RANGE]
I LOOOOOOOOOVE Sukin, but they are launching way too many products this month! So many to compile together! (*゚ー゚)

  • Anti-Pollution Facial Masque ($15.95)
  • Oil Balancing Clarifying Facial Tonic ($12.95)
  • Mattifying Facial Moisturiser ($12.95)
  • Pore Refining Facial Scrub ($12.95)
  • Purifying Gel Cleanser ($12.95)

SUKIN misc. products
Besides the range, they're also adding 3 new products to their permanent range!

  • Hydrating Facial Masque ($15.95)
  • Renewing Green Tea and Jojoba Body Scrub ($14.95)
  • Energising Coconut and Coffee Body Scrub ($14.95)

YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint ($85)
Urghhhhh, what is up with these higher end brands never stating how many shades they have in their ranges! Urgh. Anyways, this is a foundation that matches the illuminating power of the cult Touche Eclat. Visibly awakens and energises the skin, is weightless and offers "perfect" coverage.

Aaaaaaaand, that's all for this month! About 5-6 handful of products, ranging from lower end brands to the higher-ends.

Despite being a budget-beauty queen, I'm always open-minded to prices of the higher-end products, but woah! That brow kit by Estee Lauder really gave me a slight heart attack! $72 for a brow kit! Could buy myself 3-4 ABH Brow Wiz's! Craaaaaay.

What do you think of this month's launches?
Have you tried any new products from last month?

I've tried looking around for MAYBELLINE Colorblur Lip Pencils (swatches here) , but had no luck! Also passed L'OREAL Matte FX Lip Colours. Had a very funky concept, but not sure how I feel about it yet!

Either way, if you're keen on any of the Sukin products, they're currently on sale at Priceline, so gooooo!

So little products, but hey, let's just start the year modestly so we don't go broke. I'm sure everyone's still with the holiday season, so any kind of saving would be good, right?!

What's everyone eye-ing though?

Nothing much for me this month (which is good). Curious about MAC Retro Liquid Lipcolours ($46) though! (^_^;)
