Revlon Parfumerie Nail Enamel in Wintermint

OH MY GOD. I've had these photos taken for forever now, but never remembered to post about them. Yeah, this happens way too often.... that's why there are folders and folders of raw images stuck on my desktop.

My sister purchased these polishes by Revlon lately, from the new Parfumerie range! Yes, they are scented. Individually scented.

Wintermint is a pretty.... mmmhm... Should I say "pearly" or "frosty"? Not sure. It seems to be neither, nor is it shimmery. The finish is very strange (as you could see in the swatches below). It looks sandy like those sandy-textured lacquers, with a bit of a metallic-base sheen.

Yes! It's a light-mint based polish, with small blue glitters and reflective micro-glitters.

Okay, now the SCENT!

If you like or don't mind scented nail polishes, you won't have a problem with this. However, if you're like me, one who can't really stand scented nail polishes, then... these are probably not for you to play with. The scent is not faint. Adding to that, they are also rather pricey so in my opinion, I don't think it's worth paying $16.95 for one-time use if you can't stand the scent. Do consider this, before any purchases!

Back to Wintermint though..

Does it have a minty-scent?! YES!
Do I like it? NO!

Why? Umm.... The scent is rather strange, it's minty, but I can still smell the chemical spice. The mix of both scents makes me want to puke a bit every single time I touch my nose, ESPECIALLY when I'm applying my face creams! God!!!

In all, yeah, I can't really stand scented nail polishes. However, Wintermint is one of a kind. It's nothing you can find from any other ranges from other brands, so.... Yes!

+1 for the colour!
-2 for the scent!

Have you tried Revlon's Parfumerie Nail Enamel range?!

By the way, after looking back at this colour, I've realised that it matches the colour theme of my blog a lot! Hahaha!

Revlon Parfumerie Nail Enamel, $16.95, available in 24 shades, at Priceline, Big W and other Revlon stockists.

  1. Looks gorgeous! What a unique polish. Does look like it would be tedious to remove though...the things we do for glitter polish :)

  2. You always have the most perfect nails and swatches!!! Colour looks gorgeous :)

  3. The colour looks really pretty (dupe for Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream!) but you sound really averse to the scent! I wish they had little scratch and sniff thingos so you could smell before you buy. I've never tried scented nail polish though so I'm still curious about checking these out - I think the shade range is really nice.

    Tasha // shiwashiful.

    1. Oh myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. They look totally alike! And yes, I agree. They should somehow make testers available for scented polishes. Meep.

    2. Tasha you're a genius! A little scratch & sniff thing would be perfect, because there's no way to know what it smells like until it's too late. I bought the Autumn Spice, which is a more subtle Chai/cinnamon scent - I really like it, but any stronger and I wouldn't be so sure.

Great review Tram, I love reading completely honest reviews - and this one made me giggle!

  4. I saw in at Target the other week. Was wondering what I would smell like if you could smell all the layers of lotions and potion I apply. Handcream, cuticle cream and now nail polish! I think it's getting a bit much. Glow in the dark nail polish would be more interesting.

  5. I've seen a couple of these on blogs recently and this shade really is my favorite! I hope they come to singapore soon! The shade is sooo pretty and it really looks like a dupe of the deborah lippman in mermaids dream!

  6. This colour is so adorable! I find it quite funny that they are trying to scent nail polishes. I remember a couple of years ago Sportsgirl tried it and i smelt one that was meant to be Bubblegum and trust me my Hubba Bubba never smelt like that! :D
Loving your blog! If you ever have time I would love for you to check mine out!

  7. A shame it doesn't smell so great, but the colour is absolutely gorgeous! xx

  8. It's called WINTERMINT - no idea what a wintermelon is!

    1. Fixed! Thank you! But there is such thing as a Wintermelon HAHA :P
