I just crossed this facebook group which said 'This formspring question led to the suicide of a 15-year-old girl', so I decided to do some research instead of doing their stupid survey.
Thank god it came up, because I was so curious to know. This is the question on Formspring.
Your so hurt. people hate you. your such a sl*t hahahaaa. nactually lemme emphasize the HURT part. yea your body is monstrosity. no your face is hahaaaaa. ugly *** lips and your breath stanks like horse sh*t...your nose is humongous... and your EYES! theyre like to swirls of SH*T! lol you have elf ears too yenno. Go ahead and kill yourself because when you die you'll leave the world a better place.
And this was her reply -
I don't know who you are, but I will take your advice. I will kill myself because I am worthless like you said. I hope you will carry this burden on your shoulders for the rest of your life, knowing that you, YOU, killed somebody.
Please Rest in Peace Phoebe Prince (F)
Take a read of her story HERE >
Please take a look at her story! And remember to not support any forms of bullying! Supporters of bullying includes those gutless people who watches over, but does not act!
Please spread the words!
EDIT: It is reported that 15-year-old Phoebe Prince was constantly stalked and harassed from September until she killed herself in January. Students said Phoebe was called "Irish sl*t" and "whore" on Twitter, Craiglist, Facebook and Formspring. Besides this, physical bullying was also involved - books were routinely knocked outta her hands, items were flung at her, her face was scribbled out of photographs on school walls and threatening text messages were sent to her cell phone. On January 14th, while walking home, one of the bullies decided to drive by and threw a can of Red Bull at her - the last thing they could ever do to her, when she walked into her house and hung herself in a stairwell. Tho, after she commited suicide, her tormentors still posed vicious comments on the dead girl's Facebook memorial page.
How will these kids feel as they grow up with the fact that they inspired and motivated someone to end their life? I wonder..
R.I.P Phoebe
hey, sorry to be random and everything. But i was looking for the question for that formspring.me suicide thing, but i didn't want to "like" the page. So i googled it, and thankyou for posting this up otherwise I'd never find out :$
ReplyDeletehaha just thought i'd drop a comment thanks!
interesting. I've done somethin stupid and i already apologised, then comes this persons friend who started postin hate msgs on my facebook. stuff like "u should go see a psychologist because the people u're talking about are imaginary people" and stuff and "you wont get any friends in yr 12".
ReplyDeleteAfter reading a post i never read the rest of it. theres like 20+ posts
I seriously doubt this is real. How would it not be on the news with the other teen suicide stories related to bullying? Not to mention that group is one that just spams the members.
ReplyDeleteThis of course is not to minimize the fact that this sort of tortuous speech is deplorable, and people who torment others are disgusting.
Some girl kills herself because someone on the internet insults her.
ReplyDeleteThis is why women should stay in the kitchen.
This is rather disturbing. People shouldn't be making such terrible comments about others in the first place. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. I hope she didn't really kill herself over those mean words.
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad when a girl doesn't have self confidence because nothing you say to her can convince her she's really a special person just for being herself. This is a really extreme case of that I guess, really sucks to hear about this. Reading stories like this really makes me hate ignorant people, whether or not they were serious, suicide is nothing to joke about and they knew very well that only bad could come out of posting that.
ReplyDelete@Rosette I'm sure they'll forget about it over time :$ And I hope their comments don't bring you down! As long as you realise your mistakes and try not to do the same thing again :) I mean.. everybody makes mistakes right? xo
ReplyDelete@EmmyQueen07 I'm sure this is real. It's all over the internet, and websites. Maybe some countries don't get access to these stories :(
@Leon Hahaha good joke :P She didn't just kill herself because of this on formspring. She suffered physical/sexual harrassment at school too by other girls and boys too :( It's really upsetting -
@Naturalnchicmakeup I wish everyone understood 'Treat other people the way you want to be treated'. The world would be a better place, wouldn't it? :( But yeah.. She really did kill herself :$ R.I.P
@Tarheelsunc Definitely agree with you hun! :)
xo - I hope everyone spread the words around :{ Stop bullies! :{

ReplyDelete^Reliable source.
It makes me sick to see this kind of treatment being passed around amongst teenage adolescents. This is why I hated being a teenager. (And why we can't have nice things)
Also it's sad the way people use this tragic story as a method of profiteering through facebook.
This world is pretty messed.
that is terrible! i cant believe kids can be this horrible nowadays... bullying is a form of insecurity, i think those poor kids need attention form their parents.
ReplyDeletei dont believe suicide is the answer to her problems, (it never is!) but i hope phoebe prince can finally rest in peace now.
teenage life should be fun, not full of hate and pain. its so sad that those kids don't really take anything seriously, a girl already committed suicide because of them yet they still manage to post ugly comments on her memorial page. how sad :(
Natural Selection
ReplyDeleteugh. SICK. I just hate how cruel and cold hearted this world is..its so easy to believe ur thoughts..that u've failed and that ur worthless and ugly..and the only thing easier is for somebody to plant those idea's in ur head!
ReplyDeletemay she rest in peace <'3
Having read this I thought it was rather enlightening.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you finding the time and effort to
put this informative article together. I once again find myself spending
a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was
still worth it!
