15 EMPTY products n' counting!

I CAN'T believe it! Finally an empties post. It feels like I haven't posted any empties in FOREVER!

I've realised that I haven't been finishing any products in ten thousand years now, so it's time to push myself to get rid of the old ones (and make place for the new ones!). I'd like to make some space in my make-up containers, but seriously.. make-up are just SO hard to finish for me!

So this post contains lotsa skincare products and timed-out make-up (make-up that I've had for too long which I consider are no longer usable).

First off, I have three cleansers! Yes! Three facial cleansers!

Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser* is nice cleanser with a lovely and refreshing scent! Not for me in this awful Winter though, as it doesn't provide my drier skin enough hydration and moisture. Review here >

Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Gel Wash* is very similar to Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser, in my opinion. It has a different scent, but serves about the same -- not enough moisture and hydration for my dry skin type. I do personally think both cleansers are better for oily to combination skin.

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser*, I really love! Although it doesn't provide me any additional hydration and moisture, I love the fact that it removes my leftover make-up. It's also very gentle for a 'foaming' facial cleanser, ya know? And it's affordable! Review here >

Yeap. Three facial cleansers. I am amazing, ain't I? Not yet, I've also managed to finish some packs of make-up wipes!

Australis 3-in-1 Make-Up Remover Wipes... these may be the worst make-up remover wipes everrr... nuff said. I'll do a review soon, but I've only used these up for when I do swatches and to remover leftover make-up on the back of ma hand..

Priceline Nourishing Make-Up Wipes are actually ain't that bad. They were actually very moist and worked well for removing make-up! I've never seen these at Priceline though..

Also finished my Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Cream that was featured in my Winter Essentials post.. finished this allllllll by myself! It's a nice thick and heavy cream that I'd like to apply once every 2-3 days (yes I am laaaaaazy!). I'd like to see how it compares to QV's tub though!

Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream*. I do use eye creams for the prevention of wrinkles so I can't tell you exactly how this eye cream performed. I think I'm better sticking with a more affordable option since I didn't really notice any 'radiance' from the eye cream.

Maybelline Baby Lips. I did like it at first. I loved the scent and how moisturising it is, but then soon realised that it doesn't really sink into my lips. It sits on top for such a long time and makes any lipsticks applied feel much more slippery. Won't be repurchasing.

I've had Missha's Glam Look Gloss for yonks now. Ever since I started using make-up. It's a sticky gloss with visible shimmers. I still do have a bit of product left, but it's time to let it go. Won't be repurchasing for the shimmers and stickiness, but I'll look into their lipsticks!

I've also had Australis Perfection Brush-On Mineral Lipgloss for about the same time. It was recommended in combination with Australis' Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Mambo, by a Priceline staff when I was looking for a 'nude lip'. Time to go for this one too..

These two Round Lipglosses by NYX too! Not sure if the formula is naturally slippery and thin or if it's because I've had it for too long. Either way, time-out for these two in Whipped and Ballerina Pink. Lovely shades, but moves around on the lips too much!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double End Concealer/Highlighter! Although it's a bit pricey, I love this! I love BOTH the concealer (light, and great for undereyes) and the highlighter! I'll wait until Maybelline has the 3 for $30 sale again!

Rimmel Glam Eyes Volume & Lift used to be my favourite! At the moment I'm really loving my Australis mascaras, so not sure if I'd be picking this up. Maybe if there's a nice sale, but I did really love this [wand] once upon a time for my lower lashes!

That's 15 products counting!!! You wait guys! You wait! I'll be adding up to 50 products in no time!

Any products you've finished recently that you'd like to proudly share with us?
I think the I'm most proud for is the Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream!
I honestly thought I'd NEVER finish it!

Missha Nail Color in PK101 Photos, Review & Swatches

This was my very first Missha nail colour, excluding top and base coats! I've never been so impressed with Missha cosmetics, but their nail polishes are actually very well done!

I bought this from the markets for $2, so I'm not sure if they are still available in store or if they have been repackaged (or discontinued, *cry). So if you like it, then do pick it up when you see it laying around at a Missha store or whereever!

PK101 is a beautiful duochromatic polish with reflects of prominently a lovely light gold and a beigey-pink.

The polish applied extremely well and lasted 6 days (on my nails) before it started chipping, so I'm extremely impressed!

One thing to keep in mind is that the brush is a tad bigger than your average nail polish brush, so you may or may not like it. I personally am not a fan of big brushes, but I didn't struggle with the brush in this polish, so that's totally fine with me.

That's it! I've actually bought some more nail polishes and make-up which will be up in the next haul post (tomorrow!) and after that, Swatch-aday!

So excited for the next fewer posts, because I am in loveeeee with the new polishes I bought!

Stay updated with my posts via Twitter and Facebook!

Products I DON'T like!

I've came to realise that I've always talked about my favourite products, but never so much of the products I don't like!

So these products are dusting in my 'unusable items' box and I wanted to overview them briefly before they are altered to a better use [which may not even be make-up related].

Let's start.

*Almay Smart Shade Make-up is number one on the list, I definitely do not recommend to anyone. This is harsh, but.. how can anyone like this product?

Retails for $30, claims to give a beautiful and natural coverage yet offers no coverage at all (not even a sheer/light coverage) and oxidizes to be quite orangey shade on the skin. Nuff said.

Oh.. hang on! It also claims to transform to your skin colour too!
Does it? Yes it does, but you don't pay 30 bucks for that amusing bullsh*t k?

Now that I got my biggest missed product in history out of the way, next!

*Missha The Style Perfect Pen Eyeliner ($8.99)
This was one of my first eyeliners when I've started out with make-up and I have to say that I did like it at first when I bought it home.

What made me grew to dislike it is that, I could only use it for roughly around 10 applications before I needed to replace it. The felt tip would eventually become worn out and not keep in shape which makes it difficult to use.

Adding to that, the colour 'black' isn't black, but rather a blue-ish grey and the formula is not fade-proof, smudge-proof or water-proof.

Hah.. I think I just described the perfect crap eyeliner.

*Napoleon Perdis Long Black Mascara ($35)
This was my first NP mascara and I gotta say... it doesn't lengthen [my lashes], offers very little volume and doesn't hold the curls of my Asian lashes.

What's a mascara like this for? Darken my lashes? Pft. Every other mascaras do that and also volumises and lengthens better.

P.S. They won't be costing a whopping $35 too.

*KleanColor Mascara 101 Washable
This was a tag-a-long with my make-up kit when I studied a make-up course, so I have no idea how much it costs. But this is very similar to the Napoleon Perdis Long Black Mascara (no length, no volume and doesn't hold curls), except it offers a tad more volume when applied.

So I guess if you're looking for a dupe of the Napoleon Perdis Long Black Mascara, you should check this out. *giggles*

*New Eyecurl II
I think I picked this up for about $21? I'm not enitrely sure, but I do find this curler to perform its job well.

What stopped me from using this and gradually abandoned this is its battery usage. It uses AA battery and it uses up the batteries SO quick! I'm not willing to purchase batteries every week for this little thing since batteries are quite expensive here. I might need to get my hands on a Panasonic [heated eyelash curler] or one by Manicare and see how that goes.

One more thing about this is its bulky packaging, though it's not heavy... it's still quite annoying and ugly.

*L.A. Colors Liquid Eyeliner
No idea whether this was a bad one or not, but it is quite clumpy so I never looked at it after trying to use it once. The formula is quite wet and 'runny' so it doesn't dry immediately and I don't digg that.

However, I do find that it's quite water resistant, but in the end, that's useless for its clumpiness.

*Revlon Mineral Lipglaze (~$17?)
Unlike the products mentioned above (basically a miss for anyone).. this product is a matter of personal preference.

This lipgloss doesn't favour me because of the overwhelming coconut scent which is oh-my-god! I hate it! I tried to use the gloss WITH the fragrance, but the gloss is actually quite sticky, feels heavy on my lips and has the tendency to smear.

So overall, I personally dislike this lip gloss.

*Revlon Matte Lipstick in Nude Attitude ($21.95)
I bought this lipstick way back when I first started make-up, because it looked SO gorgeous on xteeener & bubzbeauty! It's actually not that bad., but I still don't like it though.

This shade is much of a peachy/apricot nude which doesn't quite suit me.
Makes me look like a dead fish, BUT I'm not complaining about the shade. The formula is unforgivable for how it accentuates the dryness/flakiness of my lips... and my lips aren't even dry to start off with! I do try to save this lipstick by priming my lips with a lip-balm before application, but it stills bring out as much dryness! Poo!

I find that the only times that this lipstick will work is when my lips are in perfect conditions (not overly moisturized or dry). Till then, it glides on very smoothly! Still makes me look dead though.

At the end of the day, this is more of a miss for me though I know some of you probably digg it. Sorry, but I'm not willing to wait and only use this for everytime my lips are in perfect condition. It's okay though. I have to admit that this is the better miss out of the bunch since I can use it to when I need to fake being sick or in a special inspired make-up look.

Hope you found this post helpful! Your turn to share!

Rambles: MISSHA Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42+

So as most of you have probably heard... BB creams, lately, have been a rising product in Asia and many Youtube bloggers e.g. Bubzbeauty, Frmheadtotoe Jen & MzJackieChu have had some sort of experience with.

So, what IS B.B. Cream?
B.B. Cream is short for Blemish Balm Cream and is a product which provides a light-weight coverage with many combining properties such as skin whitening, anti-wrinkle and a bunch of other goodies. Being unsure where it's originated from, it's actually quite popular in South-East Asia and in fact, only Asian companies manufacture these BB Cream (excluding Maybelline from Singapore, of course).

There are many many many brands out there, such as Skin79, Dr. Jart and a thousand others. The only international company I know which makes BB Cream is Maybelline, but the product itself is NOT distributed internationally. Only in Singapore or Malaysia, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong but I DO know that for sure, there IS a Maybelline BB Cream.

Anyways, a few years ago, I've tried out Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42+ in No.23.
I don't have it anymore because I've passed it to a bestie who found it to work on her really well :) since it didn't work out for me..
I bought it after watching Bubzbeauty's review and after a long time of using. I'm unsure how long, but surely more than a month.

At that time, I still had my acne, and I don't remember if it broke me out or anything as my skin was always breaking out. So applying it, I don't know whether it got worse or not.

My skin conditions at the time: My skin was very oily a few years back. It wasn't until I went on Roaccutane that my skin started to dry up and now my skin conditions has definitely went for a whopping 360 degrees change.

When applied: I'm unsure if I have got darker or light over the years or anything, but right now, I am about a NC25-NC30. I'm much more of a warm undertone. When applied on me, it didn't cover very much of my acne or anything. I definitely didn't see any whitening at all, but it didn't make me tan easily either. It was just neutral. The coverage was definitely very very sheer. And when applied, it had a grey cast over my face, no matter where I applied it.
I'm REALLY unsure about the oxidized finish. Besides that, it made my skin look very shiny and at the time, it was Autumn, but some days were very hot.

However, for my friend! I saw her apply it yesterday with her fingers and realised that it looks VERY nice on her. It matched her skin very nicely with no greyish cast. And I don't notice anything about the oxidized shade after a few hours. She doesn't need to much coverage at all so the BB cream suited her VERY well! :) And she also said she liked it very much and the shade really matched her skin tone too! I'm really unsure about her MAC shade though since she doesn't use foundation :P

So that's the experience we both had. It differs for our skin conditions and our needs. So yes.
Unlike my friend, I seek for a heavier coverage so the product wasn't for me. I prefer tinted moisturizers over the Missha BB Cream really. I haven't tried other BB creams yet so I can't tell you.

But this was my experience with oily and acne-prone skin with Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in shade #23. I think there's a shade #31 now if anyone wants to give it a try :P

Research for swatches and reviews!
Apologies for no swatches because I no longer own the BB Cream :P
