NEW ON COUNTER (MARCH 2016): Rimmel London, Revlon, essence, Covergirl, Bobbi Brown, Shiseido, YSL

Hello!

First day into Autumn, I hope you've all enjoyed Summer (for Australians, at least). I've became the tannest I've ever been my whole life last summer, and I'm not sure why. However, hoping that I'd go back to what I was this Autumn/Winter! No more tanning for me! Hopefully! (*´ェ`*)

Uni has started for me, again. And this semester is SOOOO busy! I've signed myself up for a language class, and 3 other theory classes. All which requires work placement, and also a lot of essay writings. Yet, I'm just here... chillin'... bloggin'.... haha.

BOBBI BROWN Cool Eye Shadow Palette ($115/on counter 6 March)
This one's limited edition. Features 12 nude shades in a range of different textures. Silky formula, smooth application and blends well, they said. Comes with a dual-ended brush. Available exclusively at Mecca Maxima or online.

BOBBI BROWN Brushes

  • Full Coverage Touch Up Brush ($54)
  • Concealer Brush ($37)

BOBBI BROWN Skin Foundation Cushion Compact SPF30 ($45/6 shades)
A-ha! Another cushion foundation. Last month, we had one by L'Oreal, remember? (*^^*) Well, this one is described to "stay fresh and delivers a true skin finish". Has skin tone correcting pigments, a silky formula and is packed with skin-boosting ingredients. Cushion compacts dispenses the perfect amount everytime. Refills are $20.00.

BOURJOIS Paris Arty Chic [COLLECTION]
I feel like I've seen this collection by Bourjois some time ago... Anyone think so too?

  • 1 Seconde Nail Enamel ($12/4 shades)
  • Aqua Blush ($23/1 shade) -- a liquid blush.
  • Rouge Edition Velvet ($24/2 shades) -- a matte lip colour.
  • Smoky Stories Quad Eyeshadow Palette ($24/2 shades)

CLINIQUE Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick ($50/9 shades)
I'm pretty sure this is made available in 9 shades! Could be more. These are creamy foundation sticks that delivers instant, buildable, long-wearing and natural looking coverage. Can be used for concealing or all over coverage!

COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Primer ($14.95)
As most primer claims: formulated to help prepare the skin and lengthen the wear of foundations. Smooths lines, minimises pores and reduces imperfections.

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation ($20.95/5 shades)
A lightweight luminous and radiant foundation (oooh!). Blends easily and formulated with vitamins and all that good stuff (that never really works to do anything).

ESSENCE All That Greys [COLLECTION]
Late 50 Shades Of Grey inspired collection? 。(*^▽^*)ゞ Kidding!

  • Nail Polish ($4.10/5 shades)
  • Smokey Eye Pencil ($6.15/2 shades)
  • Eyeshadow Palette ($6.15) -- I have this! I'll swatch it for ya this weekend! Promise!
  • Corner Lashes ($5.10)
  • Lipgloss ($4.10/2 shades)
  • Hair Bandeau ($4.10)
  • Loose Face & Body Powder ($6.75)
  • Unsure about that nail-sticker lookin' thing in the corner, sorry!

ESTEE LAUDER Brow Now All In One Brow Kit ($72/3 palettes)
Dam, that price doe. The only interesting thing about it is its claim to mimic the natural sheen of brow hair, since it is infused with "micro pearls". Eeep, $72 for these micro-pearls.. This better be brow-magic to anyone who decides to pick this up. On counter 13 March.

REVLON Mascaras ($21.95/5 formulas)
Umm, okay, so there are five different mascaras for this range... I wonder how different could they really be from each other (?)

RIMMEL LONDON Magnif'Eyes Double Ended Shadow & Liner ($16.95/4 shades)
A dual-ended tipped pen that features a long-lasting eyeshadow and a kohl kajal liner. Crease-proof, transfer-proof, and waterproof. Mmmmm, interesting! Would love to swatch these at the stores!

SHISEIDO Synchro Skin Foundation ($72)
Not sure how many shades, but I think this is the first time featuring Shiseido in my launches! Thought these looked pretty interesting, so here ya go! These are described to be a "long lasting liquid foundation that works to enhance the complexion. No creasing, and no fading! Available 27 March.

SUKIN Oil Balancing [RANGE]
I LOOOOOOOOOVE Sukin, but they are launching way too many products this month! So many to compile together! (*゚ー゚)

  • Anti-Pollution Facial Masque ($15.95)
  • Oil Balancing Clarifying Facial Tonic ($12.95)
  • Mattifying Facial Moisturiser ($12.95)
  • Pore Refining Facial Scrub ($12.95)
  • Purifying Gel Cleanser ($12.95)

SUKIN misc. products
Besides the range, they're also adding 3 new products to their permanent range!

  • Hydrating Facial Masque ($15.95)
  • Renewing Green Tea and Jojoba Body Scrub ($14.95)
  • Energising Coconut and Coffee Body Scrub ($14.95)

YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint ($85)
Urghhhhh, what is up with these higher end brands never stating how many shades they have in their ranges! Urgh. Anyways, this is a foundation that matches the illuminating power of the cult Touche Eclat. Visibly awakens and energises the skin, is weightless and offers "perfect" coverage.

Aaaaaaaand, that's all for this month! About 5-6 handful of products, ranging from lower end brands to the higher-ends.

Despite being a budget-beauty queen, I'm always open-minded to prices of the higher-end products, but woah! That brow kit by Estee Lauder really gave me a slight heart attack! $72 for a brow kit! Could buy myself 3-4 ABH Brow Wiz's! Craaaaaay.

What do you think of this month's launches?
Have you tried any new products from last month?

I've tried looking around for MAYBELLINE Colorblur Lip Pencils (swatches here) , but had no luck! Also passed L'OREAL Matte FX Lip Colours. Had a very funky concept, but not sure how I feel about it yet!

Either way, if you're keen on any of the Sukin products, they're currently on sale at Priceline, so gooooo!

New On Counter: April 2015

It was a MIA March for me. Nothing much happened, except study loads from uni, and also, a really bad Tuesday. And I really mean it.

May April be a better month for me!

Looking forward to ya April! Just minus April's fool.

BENEFIT Roller Lash Mascara ($38.00)
I'm sure you have heard about the launch of this one! I've reviewed it here, as a part of TMUS' Mystery Mascara challenge. Benefit describes this as an innovative curling mascara with a hook'n'roll brush that catches, lifts and curls lashes. Adding to that, has a 12-hour curve-setting formula, and is easy to remove.

On counter: 11 April 2015

BIORE
Biore is launching three new additions to their range this month. Very pretty packaging, but I don't struggle too much with pore problems, so...

  • Charcoal Pore Minimiser ($10.99), a facial exfoliator that removes impurities.
  • Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips ($7.34/6 strips)
  • Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar ($4.99), a deep-cleansing bar that removes impurities whilst gently exfoliating.

BURT'S BEES Vanilla Bean Moisturising Lip Balm ($6.95)
Yummmmmmm. Sounds so yum! It is what it is, just an addition of natural vanilla. Good stuff, huh?

CARMEX Jasmine Green Tea Lip Balm ($5.99)
Another yummy lip balm, but this is a squeeze tube. With Jasmine Green Tea though!!! Tea!!!!! Sounds so good. I wouldn't mind having the scent of tea lingering around my lips all day. Hehe.

INNOXA
All are on counter late-April.

Anti-Ageing Make Up Setting Spray ($14.95/50mL) -- I never care too much for after-sprays, but the name of this one is just whack. ANTI-AGEING? Apparently besides hydrating and smoothing the skin after make-up application, it also minimises shine, the appearance of pores and softens the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Eyeshadow Palettes ($14.95/2 palettes) contains four coordinating eyeshadow colours to create a range of looks. Crease-proof and long-lasting.

Full Colour Lip Creams ($14.95/6 shades) -- Non-drying and combines features of a lipstick and lipgloss. Another lip-cream product to hit the counters?! Woo.

LUSH Easter Offerings L/E Collection
OMGGGGGGGG. Another LUSH collection! I'm always egg-cited to see LUSH products. Yay, yay, YAY!

  • Bunch of Carrots Reusable Bubble Bar ($9.95)
  • Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb ($6.50), fairy floss scented.
  • Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt ($6.50), honey and toffee scented.

  • Hoppity Poppity Bath Bomb ($5.50)
  • Immaculate Eggception Bath Bomb ($11.95), scented with vanilla, lemon and grapefruit. The outer layer can be cracked open to find a mini chick or bunny bath bomb. The yellow/green contains the bunny, and yellow/pink contains the chick!
  • Pot O' Gold Shower Jelly ($6.95/100g)
  • Somewhere Over The Rainbow Soap ($6.95/100g)

All are ADORABLE!

NUTRIMETICS Neutraleyes Eyeshadow Palette ($55.00)
I don't usually feature Nutrimetics, but I thought this was an interesting one. Don't you think? Reminds me a lot of the NAKED palette, and the price tag is around there too (eek!).

SUKIN
OH MY GOD. Every brand is really hitting is this month, with all these egg-citing products. Really! Sukin is one of them too. Check out what they have to offer:
  • Botanical Body Wash in Lime and Coconut ($11.95)
  • Hydrating Body Lotion in Lime and Coconut ($19.95)
  • Micellar Cleansing Water ($9.95) -- Whaaaat. That price tag too!

Also launched a new range, Super Greens..

  • Detoxifying Clay Masque ($15.95), which draws out dirt and impurities.
  • Detoxifying Facial Scrub ($12.95), a facial exfoliant that deeply cleanses pores.
  • Facial Recovery Serum ($17.95), a serum that contains a lot of things (lol) to deliver a healthy glow to the skin.
  • Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser ($12.95)

ULTA3 AW15 Limited Edition Collection
A spankin' new collection by Ulta3 for this year's Autumn/Winter, featuring metallic shades to add glam to your beauty look! Yippeeeeee?!

Matte Glitter Nail Polish ($3/5 shades)
I'm actually curious if this has a matte finish, cause that'd look hot. Says nothing about having a matte finish on their press release!

Metallic Cream Eyeliner ($5.95/4 shades)
Described to be of a "striking foil finish" whilst having a feathery light feel and glides smoothly upon the skin.

SALLY HANSEN Miracle Gel Shades ($16.95/5 NEW shades)
Five new shades to add to their existing (and well loved) Miracle Gel Shades! Here they are:

RIMMEL LONDON Radiance BB Cream ($12.95/3 shades)
A 9-in-1 skin perfecting SUPER makeup (what is super makeup?): primes, smooths, conceals, helps minimise the appearance of pores, natural coverage, moisturises for 24 hours, awakens and brightens!

There are a few more products that I'd like to include, but this post is getting waaay too long, and I don't think they are interesting enough (some of them were launched last month), so I've figured that I'd post them on my Facebook page instead!

If you like them beauty updates (or like me) then do hop over to ma Facebook page!

Meanwhile, help a mate by filling out this poll:

For me, I'll definitely try out Sukin's Micellar Cleansing Water with hopes that it could be the cheapest, yet most efficient micellar cleansing water!

Priceline 40% OFF: Recommendations, Wishlist, Misses

Hi peepos~ If you follow me on Insta, or Priceline and/or other bloggers, you would've seen these cute pink ads poppin' up everywhere...

What a wonderful sale to follow Australia Day, right? XD

I wanted to quickly whip up a post sharing with you my top fewer picks, what's on my wishlist AND recommendations!! I may not be the best skincare-guru (not that I am a guru of any sort), but I have been through a quite a few drugstore skincare products (the budget-range, that is) ~ XD

RECOMMENDATIONS

St Ives Naturally Clear Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub ($9.99 - $6.00 after sale)
I know, I know... the scrubby bits in this product may not be the best for the environment, but when it comes down to picking the best exfoliator... this may just be it for me! Extremely scrubby!

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Cleansers* ($10.99 - $6.60 after sale)
I've used these, reviewed one here. The scent of all 3 are amazing (they are supposed to wake you up in the morning). My pick would have to be between the yellow and orange, but formula-wise, I don't think there are too much differences between the three.

Sukin Purely Ageless Botanical Hydration Booster ($23.95 - $14.35 after sale)
Perfect for the upcoming colder seasons, especially if you're a dry skin babe. Substitutes in as a night cream, and you only need 2 drops maximum!

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser* ($9.95 - $6.00 after sale)
I don't usually do "foaming" cleansers, but this is a gentle one that doesn't strip the moisture of the skin. Also removes leftover make-up. Highly recommended! P.S. You may need time to adjust to scents of Sukin's products~

EcoTools Intensive Hand Cream* (???)
Ah!! I tried to find details about this product, but there's barely any~ I'm not too sure if it's discontinued, but if you happen to find this, then do peek at it. It's a really good hand cream. The scent may be odd at first, but I just love moisturising formula and non-sticky, non-slippery feel altogether!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion with Vitamin E* ($9.29 - $5.60 after sale)
The scent of this is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. It's one of my top favourites! The formula is a tad heavy, so only suitable for those with very dry skin, or night-use. For day use, I find it waaay too heavy, but the scent is really... amazing.

Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash* ($9.95 - $6.00 after sale)
If you're looking for a body wash that'll make a difference -- this is it! Body washes all feels the same for me, besides this one. It actually leaves the skin feeling moisturised! My top pick for body washes.

WISHLIST
St. Ives Triple Butters Creamy Vanilla Body Wash ($5.49 - $3.20 after sale)
Haven't tried this, but its name (and packaging!) is pretty catchy! I love vanilla-scented products, and the price of this is fairly cheap!

PRODUCTS TO SKIP

St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub ($9.99 - $6.00 after sale)
I held onto this product for looong time, and I still think it's sitting around in my bathroom. It's just not scrubby enough for my liking. It's more creamy and gentle, so would work much better as a cleanser. Absolutely a miss for me.

Sukin Cream Cleanser ($9.95 - $6.00 after sale)
Gentle cleansers are ideally what we'd like for our skin, right? But this cleanser is just..... too gentle. As a cream cleanser, it surely does pack back moisture into the skin, but cleansing-wise... not really. Way too gentle to cleanse off any make-up residue. Such a shame~

Beauty Essentials (also known as BE)
Priceline's own brand, I believe. I've purchased two products from this range, and I've only ever touched them once. I can't remember much about the make-up remover, but the scrub I bought was just watery and barely made my skin feel any better~ Skipping this whole range, forever.

That's all for my recommendations, wishlist and misses~

Feel free to share with us YOUR recs/wishlist/misses!

Recent Empties ♡

Reporting back with my latest empties, haven't done this in a while!

These empties are from.. um, too long ago to remember.. They've been cluttering in my room for yonks, and only until last week that I felt bothered enough to take snaps and record a vlog for them.. (¬▂¬)

Maybelline Total Clean Express Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover (discontinued)
Finished! Love these dual-phase make-up removers, with the prices I've purchased them for.. Still have a few more, and I can only hope that they newer removers that replaced these are repackaged versions.

Sukin Cream Cleanser ($9.95)
I loved their foaming cleanser, but this one just didn't do it for me in terms of removing ma make-up and the "grime". Ironically, I used this at the END of my routine (wth, right?) to tone [by putting moisture into my skin] for its creamy formula!

❸ Palmer's Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes* ($7.49)
Worked well, but would've worked better if I hadn't let most of em' dried out! The price though...

LUSH Love Lettuce Face Mask
OMGAH, I LOVE this mask. This was my second tub and I love love love it so much! It's grainy, so as you wash it off, it also exfoliates.. leaving the skin feeling incredibly smooth. It's probably more suited towards oily skin-types, but I love it anyways. Sometimes it's a tad drying, but nothin' a tad of moisturiser can't fix!

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub* -- chuck out
Throwing this out.. I kinda grew out of the idea of [using] these lip scrubs. Hmph. It's not a bad product, it's just not a necessity anymore.

NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose ($8.95)
Throwing this out too. Absolutely hate the formula. Urgh. Probably the cheapest "highly-raved" lippies back in the day, but the formula is.. urgh. Definitely a "miss" for me.

Australis Curved Ink Eyeliner* -- chuck out
LOVE the idea of this, and it definitely worked for me after a few times practising. The formula is really disappointing for me though. Although it was dark and easy to use, the formula is smudgy and not crease-proof as claimed.

❽ U Little Beauty Dreamtime Enriching Night Cream* ($24.95) -- chuck out
Not a fan of this moisturiser. Used it halfway, but I can't stand it anymore. It takes years to blend, before it settles and seeps into the skin. Not the best in terms of being moisturising, and it's a night cream.. I'd pass. I was really fond of this brand's Happy Clappers hand cream though!

❾ Bioglo Rose Essence Sleeping Mask
I really like this! Reminds me a lot of the Laniege Sleeping Pack samples that I used to use, except that the consistency is a tad thicker. Very hydrating like that though, would repurchase if the store that sold this (eCosway) didn't have their stupid and impractical "MEMBERS-ONLY" system. Urgh.

❿ The Face Shop Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream
Really lovely gel-product, almost like serum in a jar! It's weightless, hydrates, and instantly smooths your skin. Slightly like a primer, but I won't be OTT and claim that it'll smooth your skin that much. I'm not sure of it's price, but I think it's fairly expensive. It was $50 in Vietnam, so... eep. Bye-bye to the best serum/moisturiser I've ever used!

That's 6 empties along with 4 products I'm chucking out. Eeehm.. Call it an "empties" anyways!

What's the latest product you've finished?
Drop me a comment!

Brb. Repurchasing LUSH's Love Lettuce mask and price-checking that awesome TFS Chia Seed cream!
