FIFA Nails: Brazil vs. Croatia

WHO FOLLOWED LAST NIGHT'S MATCH?

Me!!!

Not a big soccer follower, but there's something about watching soccer matches... Or maybe it's just me being satisfied with finding an excuse to justify staying up late/waking up in the earlier dawn hours.

It's a bit late for me to start any new kind of blogging series since the first game's already over and there will be another three matches from tonight through to tomorrow morning.... Meh. Who cares! Give FIFA inspired nails a go anyways!

...With the help of my sister of course! I've mentioned her here and there on this blog. She's a big nail fan, so we decided to get together and work on inspired nails for as many matches as we could.

I'll start off with my take on Croatia's inspired nails! Here it is....

Alright, I'd take it. It's not that good. Or in fact, it's not good at all. T^T Especially when it's put up against my sister's Brazil-inspired manicure.... It's like one came from heaven, and one came from hell!

Aww!! I really like what she did. The nail art and colour combo. Mine looks like a mess.... But Croatia's flag is very hard!

In case you're wondering, the nail polishes I used for my Croatia-inspired manicure is:

  • Illamasqua Rubber Brights Nail Polish in Serenity | reviewed here >
  • Ulta3 Nail Polish in Lily White
  • Face Of Australia Pastels Nail Polish in Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy | featured here >
  • Rimmel London Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Double Decker Red | featured here >
  • Models Prefer Nail Polish in Little Black Dress
  • Le'lan Vital High Gloss Top Coat

Gahhhh! I'll put in more effort next time!

Stay tuned for our next post!

Updates >.< + Haul

Hi galz!!! My giveaway is coming to an end, so make sure you DO enter! I've added a few more items to it but I haven't listed it yet...

On another note, I've been heaps busy with moving houses, so please excuse me for being M.I.A as I won't have access to the internet for the next couple of weeks. However, I will be writing posts and schedule them to publish automatically (or try to).

So let's start the hauling!

This is the L'elan Vital Ultra Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips which I'm planning to use for my face because it's super gentle so it should be right for sensitive skin types. It's an oil-based product as you see, so do shake well before use.
Great idea because oil-based products can removed all types of make-up as it breaks down the particles/substances and all that good stuff, making it easier to be removed.
I like the nice green packaging, makes it look eco-friendly (don't know if it is or not) and promising... this was for a member price, approx $9.

Grabbed this book at Basement Books at Central Station (to UTS) for $4 and there's quite a few make-up tips in there, however they only suggest Bobbi Brown items.. I'll still enjoy it though :)

And then I also dropped down to the pharmacy to grab these eyeshadow duos because I heard good reviews about them. These eyeshadow duos are by MODE Cosmetics...

..and has absolutely amazing pigmentation for $2.95 per duo.
The purple duo reminds me of STILA's Eyeshadow Duo in Orchid, is it possibly a dupe?

That's all for my haul yesterday! I did not have a weekend post because I was busy moving and it was Easter, so I was unsure whether the markets were open or not... poo!

I hope I will be able to blog soon for you galz! Hope you had a great Easter too!

Yours deerest,
