January Empties

Not exactly January's empties, more like 2014 empties... （。-＿-。）

I've had these in my room since last year. I'm so lazy for empties, and by the time I get down to photographin' and all, the pile gets real huge!~

Lush BB Seaweed ($16.95)
Never got down to reviewing this, but like most masks by LUSH.. pretty standard. I've totally forgot how it felt on the skin [to explain in details], but all I could remember is that it felt good. I still prefer Love Lettuce.

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic ($16.95)
This was a nice one to use!~ I liked it better than BB Seaweed, but would still prefer Love Lettuce. Review here >

Lush Ultrabland* ($28.95)
A facial cleanser. I've NEVER finished this. I've used it twice, and I've never touched it again. It leaves the skin feeling soooo oily (it's supposed to, as a make-up removing cleanser), I hate it. So I've just removed all the contents and kept the jar.

Maybelline SuperStay Make Up ($21.95)
Finally finished this. Really liked it, but I've found better foundations. This was a nice medium-full coverage, lasting foundation~ Review here >

Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation ($35.60)
I LOVE this foundation. One of my top favourites. Pretty full coverage, long-lasting, and applies flawlessly on my skin. Love love love love! It's a shame that I didn't get down to reviewing it~ I used this up pretty quickly. It's so pricey though, so I might wait until there's a cute sale to repurchase.

The Face Shop Escargot 24K Gold Cream (sample)
I LOVE creams/serums by TFS. I've tried the Chia Seed Cream (which I loved), but this one is just 10x better!!! Hopefully it's not 10x the price, because the Chia Seed Cream retails for $40, or so. Sucks.

The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream (sample)
Didn't like this. The colour is off, the product is not creamy enough to apply and almost cakes on my skin. I actually have the full-size product, gg...

Biore Make-Up Removing Wipes ($3.99)
Not sure if I've had these for too long that the formula went off, because it started stinging around my eyes and skin. Eeek. Eitherway, won't repurchase.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes ($6.99)
Standard cleansing wipes. They work and are nice to use. Already stocked up a few of these from the last "half price" sale.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub ($13.99)
Didn't like this very much. I guess it is gentle enough to be used as a daily scrub, but my problem is that it's too gentle. The grains are very fine, and the product has a liquid-y consistency. A bit like fine grains on top of a daily-facial cleanser.

Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash ($9.95)
I don't think I've ever told you how great this body wash is! I really enjoyed using this. Doesn't strip off the moisture off the skin [like other body washes I've gone through], definitely gives an extra oomph to the skin.

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips ($10.49)
Everyone love these, including myself. Probably the one and only pore-strip product available in the drugstores as for right now.


Some other miscs that I've finished includes Nivea Invisible Black & White Roll On and Blistex Lip Conditioner. Nothing to much to say about these two~ I used to like Blistex Lip Conditioner a lot but I've converted to more travel-friendly lip balms!



FINALLY can clear these products out. I still have a bag of "PRODUCTS I AM CHUCKING OUT" laying around in my room... #lazy （。-＿-。）

Recent Empties ♡

Reporting back with my latest empties, haven't done this in a while!

These empties are from.. um, too long ago to remember.. They've been cluttering in my room for yonks, and only until last week that I felt bothered enough to take snaps and record a vlog for them.. (¬▂¬)

❶ Maybelline Total Clean Express Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover (discontinued)
Finished! Love these dual-phase make-up removers, with the prices I've purchased them for.. Still have a few more, and I can only hope that they newer removers that replaced these are repackaged versions.

❷ Sukin Cream Cleanser ($9.95)
I loved their foaming cleanser, but this one just didn't do it for me in terms of removing ma make-up and the "grime". Ironically, I used this at the END of my routine (wth, right?) to tone [by putting moisture into my skin] for its creamy formula!

❸ Palmer's Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes* ($7.49)
Worked well, but would've worked better if I hadn't let most of em' dried out! The price though...




❹ LUSH Love Lettuce Face Mask 
OMGAH, I LOVE this mask. This was my second tub and I love love love it so much! It's grainy, so as you wash it off, it also exfoliates.. leaving the skin feeling incredibly smooth. It's probably more suited towards oily skin-types, but I love it anyways. Sometimes it's a tad drying, but nothin' a tad of moisturiser can't fix!

❺ LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub* -- chuck out
Throwing this out.. I kinda grew out of the idea of [using] these lip scrubs. Hmph. It's not a bad product, it's just not a necessity anymore.

❻ NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose ($8.95)
Throwing this out too. Absolutely hate the formula. Urgh. Probably the cheapest "highly-raved" lippies back in the day, but the formula is.. urgh. Definitely a "miss" for me.

❼ Australis Curved Ink Eyeliner* -- chuck out
LOVE the idea of this, and it definitely worked for me after a few times practising. The formula is really disappointing for me though. Although it was dark and easy to use, the formula is smudgy and not crease-proof as claimed.

❽ U Little Beauty Dreamtime Enriching Night Cream* ($24.95) -- chuck out
Not a fan of this moisturiser. Used it halfway, but I can't stand it anymore. It takes years to blend, before it settles and seeps into the skin. Not the best in terms of being moisturising, and it's a night cream.. I'd pass. I was really fond of this brand's Happy Clappers hand cream though!

❾ Bioglo Rose Essence Sleeping Mask
I really like this! Reminds me a lot of the Laniege Sleeping Pack samples that I used to use, except that the consistency is a tad thicker. Very hydrating like that though, would repurchase if the store that sold this (eCosway) didn't have their stupid and impractical "MEMBERS-ONLY" system. Urgh.

❿ The Face Shop Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream 
Really lovely gel-product, almost like serum in a jar! It's weightless, hydrates, and instantly smooths your skin. Slightly like a primer, but I won't be OTT and claim that it'll smooth your skin that much. I'm not sure of it's price, but I think it's fairly expensive. It was $50 in Vietnam, so... eep. Bye-bye to the best serum/moisturiser I've ever used!

That's 6 empties along with 4 products I'm chucking out. Eeehm.. Call it an "empties" anyways!

FINAL-FREAKING-LY!

GOD! It feels like I've not finished any products in so long. It irritates me so much when I look over to my bedside table, and all I see is... Well, everything except the table's surface.

It's covered in moisturisers, body lotions, body washes, baby shampoo, hand creams AND.... an alarm clock (lol, random as fuck, but an alarm clock will never help my punctuality. Don't even know why it's there!).

AND then we have my make-up corner..... Well, let's not even go there!   (҂⌣̀_⌣́)

But for the past two months, I've been putting effort into finishing as many products as I could. And... here they are...

Cedel Blow Dry Faster Hair*
Probably the first-ever hair product that I've consider to repurchase. I have thick, almost afro-like hair. Unlucky Asian, I know! This really did help in reducing my hair-blowing drying time. I don't blowdry very often, but it's still worth to have around the house for when I do.

SmartSkin Scented Cleaning Wipes
My cute girlfriend bought me these wipes from Woolworths. REALLY appreciate her thoughts, but these wipes were horrible for my skin. I have nowhere near sensitive skin, and these irritated the fuck outta my skin every single time I used them. Used twice, gave up. Did go back once, but same same. Became wet wipe for my desk and hand-swatches after.

Burt's Bees Radiance Exfoliating Body Wash*
This stuff smells like grass, or something natural. Not my cup of tea. I also like my body washes to foam up, and this didn't. Didn't really moisturise either. Toodles!

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Didn't really pay too much attention to this. It doesn't really suit my hair type. My hair will smell and I'll get dandruff after a day of not washing, so this wouldn't fit with my hair type. Actually have no idea how I've managed to finish this.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation #52
LOVE this foundation! Lightweight with a natural, non-cakey finish. Light-to-medium coverage and is OK in terms of long-lasting power. Satisfactorily lasts through a day of uni, so that's all good. Will definitely need to repurchase. The shade is also probably the closest to my skin out of all foundations I've used!

Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Mambo
YES! FIRST LIPSTICK EVER! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ୧( ॑ധ ॑)୨
Close to being the first lipstick I've purchased since I've started wearing make-up and now, it's the first lipstick I've finished! Kinda. I cheated a bit, but come on guys! Any lip junkie would consider this a huge milestone when it comes down to empties.


On most people, this looks like a regular nude, but on my pigmented lips, it looks very much like a pinky-nude. I won't repurchase this shade though. The formula is fantastic, but I've grew out of the "nude lips" look. Meh.


Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm
Not sure what flavour/scent, but I hated this at first. It felt like it just sat on the lips and didn't do any nourishing and hydrating. I found that it worked better to use during the night time, since I'd have no problems with it sitting there overnight, but for daytime, it'd add too much moisture to my lips that it'd make everything I apply on top slip and glide everywhere!


LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive
Haven't finished this. Haven't actually worn lashes in forever now. It's gone off though. All liquid-y so must chuck. Repurchase-worthy though.


L'Oreal Paris Base Magqiue Primer
I have the full-sized product of this. Just needed to get this out of my sample stash! I think, even after finishing the full-size, I won't repurchase. I have dry flakes on my cheeks, and this just requires too much blending. The consistency is just really... thick?

Avene Thermal Spring Water
Bought this from Priceline's 40% OFF skincare sale. My skin didn't love this, but it was nice to use. Soothed well, but I had to use A LOT of it -- 50mL gone in less than a week. I can't see myself repurchasing this for now since I'd go through it way too quick. Maybe when Chemist Warehouse decides to do a 50% off on the full-sized one.


That's all! I can now FINALLY discard this bag of empties.
It's bloody annoying to have a bag of finished product (rubbish, pretty much) sitting in your room for yonks. Then having to take them out to photograph...

AND it doesn't help when your Mum goes through your room and nags you to dispose them every often! （；¬＿¬)

Recent Empties -- Feb 2013

YEY! My first empties post for 2013! I'm glad I'm getting somewhere with my stash. Of course, I still do add products here and then, but lately, I've been trying to use up whatever I can.. whether it be skincare, cosmetics or haircare!

Yes! Four whole packets of facial wipes! Three by Face Of Australia in which I've already repurchased and one by Lacura, a brand that you can only find at Aldi. They're actually okay for $2.50, but they're not that moist for the face so I wouldn't recommend it nor would I repurchase! I'm actually happy that it's not as bad as Australis' wipes for it's price :P

For the other products, I've got to the skincare sample set by Trilogy that's been hanging around forever. Their products were okay and their Rose Hip Oil definitely saved my skin when it acted up, but I still like Sukin's Hydration Booster better so bye bye Trilogy. You served me well though.

As for Australis' See Ya Later Nail Polish Remover.. Let me just say.. It's probably one of the best nail polish removers! I've already repurchased and a collective haul post is coming your way! :P

Nutrimetics Restore Intense Anti-Ageing Night Creme* has also been a great product, but way outta my price range. Meep. It's a lovely night creme though.. rich, creamy and moisturising! I wouldn't deem it as a holy grail product, but definitely something to look to if you've got the bucks for it!

Another night cream and sample I've finished is by Nivea. Their Visage Q10  Night Cream felt quite soothing the first time I've tried it, but it was just average after that so I'm passing up this one too.

Last product is a cosmetic product! You're probably wondering how I've cleaned the BYS Blusher SO well that there's not one bit of powder intact with the pan... Well.. I didn't. What happened was.... I dropped it, smashed it, and dropped it again so it's pretty much scattered allllll over my floor. It's a cheap and pigmented blusher though! I love its luminous finish so if that's your thing then give it a go!

Those are all the products I've finished "recently" *cough* since last year, but I've been too lazy to post about it *cough*

OH. Totally forgot about the Nature's Care Paw Paw Balm.. I only used it twice, but it's going because it's super runny and liquid-y. It sucks. Nuff said.

October Empties -- 10 products and counting!!

As I've decided to go on a beauty ban (conditions apply: unless things are ridiculously cheap), for the past month I've been trying to finish as many products as I could. Make-up are takes hella long to finish so I decided to quickly use up all the small and easy ones first like skincare samples that have been piling up in the corner.

Biore Gentle Make-Up Removing Wipes -- I really liked in comparison to their Deep Pore Cleansing one that I reviewed recently. No fragrance, didn't irritate my skin and worked really well!

Australis Make-Up Remover Wipes -- Disappointing. Reviewed it here. Driest make-up wipes everrrrr. I've tried the Lacura ones from Aldi which works ever better at 1/3 of the price I believe.

Dermal Masks in Cucumber, Platinum and Seaweed -- All worked well. Nothing over the top. Provided adequate hydration. If they're cheap, I'll definitely purchase them!

Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser -- Hell ya it's gentle! But not moisturising at all.

Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist -- Meh. I didn't like this. It stung my eyes and didn't help my skin at all. I think it even made my skin feel tighter...

Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion -- LOVE this scent! Smells like vanilla cupcakes! The body lotion is ok. Good if you're after preventing dry skin or have little dry skin. Already have two larger travel sized bottles :)

Revlon Beyond Natural Eyelashes in 91148 Defining* -- Didn't get a chance to use this. Told my sister to use 1 pair and she ended up screwing up one of the lashes so she used 3 lashes altogether leaving me with an awkward one side of the lashes. It looked amazingly natural on her though... in length and style. Must search for a similar style or wait for this to go on sale!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser -- Gentle. I like it. But I'm after something more hydrating like a cream.

Nivea Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream -- It was okay. Lightweight and moisturising, but I'm after something heavier for the stupid dry patches on my cheeks.

Heronia Snail Face Mask -- Yeap. You read right. Snail face mask. Amazingly hydrating. I've yet to blog about it.. expect one soon :P

QV Body Cream -- Had this for 2 years now. I've finished it a while ago, but only found the packaging recently LOL! It's a good, moisturising body cream and I'm glad they have it in a squeeze tube form.

Sukin Hydrating Body Lotion -- Not hydrating enough, but is super lightweight. Not for me :(

Sukin Facial Moisturiser* -- Hydrating. Feels quite heavy when applied but eventually sinks in to be lightweight. Love this!! Doesn't have SPF though which means you can use it at night, but will have to fork out for a SPF product.

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner -- Didn't think I needed this when I was using it, but I figured I couldn't live without a mist anymore. I loved using this after a freshly cleansed face as my skin would feel so tight after.. meep!

Nak Aromas Conditioner with Argan Oil -- I'm not a hair person, so I found this okay. Made my hair smooth and silky, but I don't think it's available locally, so no.

Olay Definity Illuminating Cream Cleanser -- I really don't know where I got this from, but it's not a true cream cleanser... more like a milk cleanser with exfoliating beads which is a no-no for dry skin. I didn't like it and not to mention, I didn't see any brightening effect after finishing it.

Original Source Lime Shower Gel -- Smells a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! I loved this stuff! It's so bright and it smells straight up like limes/lemons!

Organic Spa Cream Cleanser -- Awkward last sample. It had a funky scent, but worked good. I liked it, but it's not easily accessible so.. I'll wait till I see it around (maybe International Spa & Beauty Expo next year?).


Yippee!! I've finished 10 full sized products, 7 samples and 4 face masks! *pats self on the back* If I could keep this up, maybe 120 products a year? *Day-dreams.

15 EMPTY products n' counting!

I CAN'T believe it! Finally an empties post. It feels like I haven't posted any empties in FOREVER!

I've realised that I haven't been finishing any products in ten thousand years now, so it's time to push myself to get rid of the old ones (and make place for the new ones!). I'd like to make some space in my make-up containers, but seriously.. make-up are just SO hard to finish for me!

So this post contains lotsa skincare products and timed-out make-up (make-up that I've had for too long which I consider are no longer usable).

First off, I have three cleansers! Yes! Three facial cleansers!

Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser* is nice cleanser with a lovely and refreshing scent! Not for me in this awful Winter though, as it doesn't provide my drier skin enough hydration and moisture. Review here >

Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Gel Wash* is very similar to Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser, in my opinion. It has a different scent, but serves about the same -- not enough moisture and hydration for my dry skin type. I do personally think both cleansers are better for oily to combination skin.

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser*, I really love! Although it doesn't provide me any additional hydration and moisture, I love the fact that it removes my leftover make-up. It's also very gentle for a 'foaming' facial cleanser, ya know? And it's affordable! Review here > 


Yeap. Three facial cleansers. I am amazing, ain't I? Not yet, I've also managed to finish some packs of make-up wipes!

Australis 3-in-1 Make-Up Remover Wipes... these may be the worst make-up remover wipes everrr... nuff said. I'll do a review soon, but I've only used these up for when I do swatches and to remover leftover make-up on the back of ma hand..

Priceline Nourishing Make-Up Wipes are actually ain't that bad. They were actually very moist and worked well for removing make-up! I've never seen these at Priceline though..

Also finished my Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Cream that was featured in my Winter Essentials post.. finished this allllllll by myself! It's a nice thick and heavy cream that I'd like to apply once every 2-3 days (yes I am laaaaaazy!). I'd like to see how it compares to QV's tub though!

Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream*. I do use eye creams for the prevention of wrinkles so I can't tell you exactly how this eye cream performed. I think I'm better sticking with a more affordable option since I didn't really notice any 'radiance' from the eye cream.

Maybelline Baby Lips. I did like it at first. I loved the scent and how moisturising it is, but then soon realised that it doesn't really sink into my lips. It sits on top for such a long time and makes any lipsticks applied feel much more slippery. Won't be repurchasing.

I've had Missha's Glam Look Gloss for yonks now. Ever since I started using make-up. It's a sticky gloss with visible shimmers. I still do have a bit of product left, but it's time to let it go. Won't be repurchasing for the shimmers and stickiness, but I'll look into their lipsticks!

I've also had Australis Perfection Brush-On Mineral Lipgloss for about the same time. It was recommended in combination with Australis' Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Mambo, by a Priceline staff when I was looking for a 'nude lip'. Time to go for this one too..

These two Round Lipglosses by NYX too! Not sure if the formula is naturally slippery and thin or if it's because I've had it for too long. Either way, time-out for these two in Whipped and Ballerina Pink. Lovely shades, but moves around on the lips too much!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double End Concealer/Highlighter! Although it's a bit pricey, I love this! I love BOTH the concealer (light, and great for undereyes) and the highlighter! I'll wait until Maybelline has the 3 for $30 sale again!

Rimmel Glam Eyes Volume & Lift used to be my favourite! At the moment I'm really loving my Australis mascaras, so not sure if I'd be picking this up. Maybe if there's a nice sale, but I did really love this [wand] once upon a time for my lower lashes!

May Empties

I know, I know!

It's not even the end of the month yet, why is this post labelled as 'May Empties?'. Well, I actually held onto these empties for a while now, maybe a few months and I seriously cannot hold onto them for any longer, so I figure I need to post urgently!

These empties are from the last fewer months. Pretty weird having a bunch of used products lined up on your table if you ask me!

Johnson's Daily Essentials Facial Cleansing Wipes, one of those items that I said "I'll review them tomorrow..." and I ended up using them all instead! But, overall, good wipes -- effective, quick cleanse, moist and didn't give that slight sting after use! Will repurchase to do a separate review and these are not bad!

Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes comes in one of the prettiest make-up remover wipes packaging. With a click on lid instead of the usual sticker, it saves much more moist and is much more travel friendly. I like the material of this better. Lately, it hasn't been stinging, but it used to when I first started using em!

Omgaah! I finished this Dove Foaming Make-Up Remover YONKS ago! Probably from beginning of the year! It's a good make-up remover for the face, but I feel like it's not safe for the eyes. I know some beauties do use this in a way of a foaming cleanser make-up remover, but I prefer to put out the foam onto a cotton pad and go ahead with the usual! It's effective, cheap, fun to use and lasted me yonks. Will repurchase (also one of those products that I said I'll get to review, but never did).

What's this unbranded mascara, you asked? It's the NYX Volume Doll Eye Mascara I've purchased ages ago. Finally decide to dispose this. Been way too long and it's dried up. Loved this mascara once upon a time. Looked natural, held ma curls and did great for length although it's a 'volume' mascara... lol. Would love to try out the length version!

Holy cow, this is one of the most grainiest exfoliater I've used! St Ives Apricot Scrub generally receives so much positive feedbacks from users. I find this to be abrasive on skin, but I liked it. Probably best for Summers though since it won't help with hydration for my dry skin in the Winter time.

Ok, if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram (the_Beautifool), you would've known that I've tried to dye my hair the very first time at home, and I used John Frieda's Precision Foam Colour in Light Ash Brown. The selection of a light shade didn't turn out on my dark hair colour so boo for that.. But I did like the easy and messy-free process. Will probably give this another try in the future, but with a much lighter colour!

Ah, forever one of my favourite lip balms! Blistex Lip Conditioner is a bit pricier but works much better and faster than others (and has SPF20). Also has SPF20! I find this Blistex jar conditioner works much better than their other balm forms. Already have repurchased!

January-February Empties

I haven't finished any products late, but after tidying my room, I found these empty products scattered everywhere! I was suppose to blog about them earlier this year in Jan, but totally forgot!

Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser is a gentle, '99.2% natural' cleanser. My skin definitely felt smooth after cleansing, but I didn't spot any radiance or extraordinary results, so that's a shame.

Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Lotion is an okay lotion for the body.. Smells nice and does its job, but besides that, nothing too special about it really.

Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner came home with me after being quite impressed with their Leave-In Split Hair Protector (from the same range). I didn't see any results, really. I have thick, poofy and hard-to-manage hair (which I've already given up on), so all I look for are haircare products which helps me to stay dandruff-free. I personally didn't find these two to help with that (too!), so no repurchase although the packaging is so cute and fun!

Unfortunately, same goes to their Tousle Me Softly Touchable Soft Shampoo (I've already disposed the packaging) and Conditioner. Whilst my sister (who has straighter hair) love the after tousles and waves from the Tousle Me Softly range, it did nothing for my hair! Boo!

Although saying so, I'm still looking forward to try the 'Dangerously Straight' range, am I silly to still hold hope?
