15 EMPTY products n' counting!

I CAN'T believe it! Finally an empties post. It feels like I haven't posted any empties in FOREVER!

I've realised that I haven't been finishing any products in ten thousand years now, so it's time to push myself to get rid of the old ones (and make place for the new ones!). I'd like to make some space in my make-up containers, but seriously.. make-up are just SO hard to finish for me!

So this post contains lotsa skincare products and timed-out make-up (make-up that I've had for too long which I consider are no longer usable).

First off, I have three cleansers! Yes! Three facial cleansers!

Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser* is nice cleanser with a lovely and refreshing scent! Not for me in this awful Winter though, as it doesn't provide my drier skin enough hydration and moisture. Review here >

Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Gel Wash* is very similar to Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser, in my opinion. It has a different scent, but serves about the same -- not enough moisture and hydration for my dry skin type. I do personally think both cleansers are better for oily to combination skin.

Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser*, I really love! Although it doesn't provide me any additional hydration and moisture, I love the fact that it removes my leftover make-up. It's also very gentle for a 'foaming' facial cleanser, ya know? And it's affordable! Review here >

Yeap. Three facial cleansers. I am amazing, ain't I? Not yet, I've also managed to finish some packs of make-up wipes!

Australis 3-in-1 Make-Up Remover Wipes... these may be the worst make-up remover wipes everrr... nuff said. I'll do a review soon, but I've only used these up for when I do swatches and to remover leftover make-up on the back of ma hand..

Priceline Nourishing Make-Up Wipes are actually ain't that bad. They were actually very moist and worked well for removing make-up! I've never seen these at Priceline though..

Also finished my Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Cream that was featured in my Winter Essentials post.. finished this allllllll by myself! It's a nice thick and heavy cream that I'd like to apply once every 2-3 days (yes I am laaaaaazy!). I'd like to see how it compares to QV's tub though!

Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream*. I do use eye creams for the prevention of wrinkles so I can't tell you exactly how this eye cream performed. I think I'm better sticking with a more affordable option since I didn't really notice any 'radiance' from the eye cream.

Maybelline Baby Lips. I did like it at first. I loved the scent and how moisturising it is, but then soon realised that it doesn't really sink into my lips. It sits on top for such a long time and makes any lipsticks applied feel much more slippery. Won't be repurchasing.

I've had Missha's Glam Look Gloss for yonks now. Ever since I started using make-up. It's a sticky gloss with visible shimmers. I still do have a bit of product left, but it's time to let it go. Won't be repurchasing for the shimmers and stickiness, but I'll look into their lipsticks!

I've also had Australis Perfection Brush-On Mineral Lipgloss for about the same time. It was recommended in combination with Australis' Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Mambo, by a Priceline staff when I was looking for a 'nude lip'. Time to go for this one too..

These two Round Lipglosses by NYX too! Not sure if the formula is naturally slippery and thin or if it's because I've had it for too long. Either way, time-out for these two in Whipped and Ballerina Pink. Lovely shades, but moves around on the lips too much!

0

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double End Concealer/Highlighter! Although it's a bit pricey, I love this! I love BOTH the concealer (light, and great for undereyes) and the highlighter! I'll wait until Maybelline has the 3 for $30 sale again!

Rimmel Glam Eyes Volume & Lift used to be my favourite! At the moment I'm really loving my Australis mascaras, so not sure if I'd be picking this up. Maybe if there's a nice sale, but I did really love this [wand] once upon a time for my lower lashes!

That's 15 products counting!!! You wait guys! You wait! I'll be adding up to 50 products in no time!

Any products you've finished recently that you'd like to proudly share with us?
I think the I'm most proud for is the Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream!
I honestly thought I'd NEVER finish it!

Colour Me In: 4 Affordable Pink Blushers!

'Colour Me In' is a series of posts in collaboration with Alice of ArsyParsy, Tezza of Myteeefine and Amanda ofThai-Tales!

*****

Yeap yeap, it's Thursday! My post this week will walk you through some of the most affordable pink blushers! Last week, I've posted about 4 Ravishing Red Lipsticks, so check that out if you are into the brights and bold!

My blusher collection are majority pinks and they are all quite affordable, nothing pricey actually!

So first up, I have Sportsgirl's Get Cheeky Cheek & Eye Shimmer Trio in Rose. I think many people do avoid Sportsgirl's beauty products, but they're actually not that bad at all! Promise! This trio is actually decently pigmented with a shimmery bronze, pale pink and deep dusty rose shade. I only use this on days I skip illuminators to avoid lookin' overload shimmery!

..and on days that I do use luminous/shimmery highlighters, I do opt for matte blushers instead. That's when I lean towards Australis' Paparazzi Perfect HD and alternate between Flash It and Shoot To Thrill*! I wholey heart this range! Besides the awesome pigmentation and price, I love that they're available in trios which allows you to mix and match the shades!

Lastly, is my least favourite pink blusher from my little collection. Yeap. It's the Maybelline Fit Me Blusher in Medium Pink. I have nothing against the shade, although I have to say it's probably not best suited for me as it's too light. What I loathe about this product is its sheerness. Sheer is okay! It's not always bad! But this Fit Me Blusher is so incredibly sheer that it can pass as 'not pigmented at all'. Ya know?

And of course, here are some swatches!

From left to right:

1. Sportsgirl Get Cheeky Cheek & Eye Shimmer in Rose (middle strip)
2. Australis Paparazzi Perfect HD Blusher in Flash It!
3-5. Australis Paparazzi Perfect HD Blusher in Shoot To Thrill
6. Maybelline Fit Me Blusher in Medium Pink

So that's four affordable pink blushers that you may (or may not.. *ahem* Maybelline Fit Me) want to look at if you're seeking for a pretty pink blusher.

What colour blushers do YOU prefer? Coral? Pink? Purple?
I do think corals suit me better, but I love pink lippies which doesn't really work with coral cheeks! Gah!

You love being pretty in pinks don't ya? Check out Tezza's Real Technique babies, Amanda's collection of pink lipsticks and duo two-toned lips and also Alice's go-to pink lippy!

Colour Me In: 4 Ravishing Red Lipsticks

'Colour Me In' is a series of posts in collaboration with Alice of ArsyParsy, Tezza of Myteeefine and Amanda of Thai-Tales!

Our posts set out to explore the most basic, must-haves hues of the spectrum whilst sharing with you our collection of make-up and a touch of fashion! There will also be a link love at the end of each post for your convenience and reading pleasure!

We will be posting every Thursday, so keep your eyes peeled!

*****

So lately, I've been sporting red lipsticks [again, since last September or so]. I was once very, very scared of red lipsticks, simply because it's just SO bold [in my opinion] for any occasion (and not to mention, I don't really like the shape of my lips to put emphasis on it).

But it's phasing in on me lately again, so I just wanted to show you some red lipsticks in my collection.

Not very much since like I said.. I never really loved red lipsticks and how many red lipsticks can an average girl [like me] own?!

Leggo!

My latest red lipstick is a cute, small sample size of Shiseido's Perfect Rouge in RD514. It's the darkest red lipstick out of the four I own, so I'm not sure if I'd ever be wearing it since lighter reds already stands out so much on my skin! But I love how it feels on the lips! It's very pigmented, lightweight, glossy and glides on the lips well without the slips! Love!

A Max Factor steal from the markets, yonks ago.. 715 Ruby Tuesday. It's been in my collection for a while now, but I haven't really looked into it. I did wear it sometime last week at a dress up party and I noticed a really strong scent which reminds me of my Mum's old lipsticks and a tad of something fruity. It's also very pigmented, glides on well and is moisturising and long-lasting. Nothing I don't like, except for the scent.

Sportsgirl Pout About It in Fashionista (renamed to Bombshell, I believe) has always been considered an essential for me. It's the only matte red in my collection of reds which is great to use as a tint and stain! I don't wear it as a lipstick as it's also too dark in tone for my preference. It glides on okay and is less moisturising, but definitely is long-lasting and will leave a stain on the lips. For more swatches and a more detailed review from the Pout About It range, click here.

Finally, the glossiest and brightest of the four is Australis' Moisture Intense in Saigon (my hometown!). It's VERY bright on my lips, but I love it! I think it is just amazing, though it's a shame that they are now discontinued.. This lipstick has a unique fruity smell. It's ultra moisturising and glides on well which reminds me very much of the Revlon Lip Butters, but glossier and has more slip [in comparison to the ones I've used]. If you can still find any at your local Priceline clearance, grab em! For more swatches, click here.

Here are swatches of the four together!

That's all for me!

How many red lipsticks do YOU have in your collection?

Let me know!

Long after Garnier's last release of the Miracle Skin Perfector, Garnier now has a Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free with a formula which is more suitable for combination to oily skin types! Unfortunately, the first Garnier BB Cream has never been a favourite for me (and I have dry skin), so for this one, it's a no-go for me! :(

RRP $13.95, available in 2 shades

Garnier again, with a new Dark Spot Corrector Daily Unifying Moisturiser which contains five percent Vitamin C, helping to correct, fade AND prevent pigmentations and dark spots. It's also suppose to moisturise, illuminate and even out the skin's tone!

RRP $16.95, available now

Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Make-Up has a mousse-like texture which is suppose to feel like silk on the skin. There's plenty of raves and mentions about it in the YouTube beauty community right now and it's just made it to Priceline recently! I've seen reviews and it does seem to have a very weird texture, but seems interesting! Claims to flex with the skin for an all day wear.

RRP $34.95, available in 12 shades (I think!)

I've also seen more products from Revlon lately, but I'm not sure what if it's new or it has just never stood out to me such as their PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, PhotoReady Color Correcting Primer and PhotoReady Eye Primer + Brightener.

Are there any new products that you're eye-ing?

Let me know!

Saturday/Sunday Steals #22

I swear.. the more I post about these lil market haul, the more I feel like a hoarder! I'm gonna repeat myself.. but can ya believe.. this post marks the 22nd post in my Saturday/Sunday Steals series!

Yikes!

I got these products... err.... two weeks ago?! Can't remember (a hoarder's first world problem)!

Manicare Foundation Sponge packs for 50c each! Very rarely do I use sponges, but they were so damn cheap so I thought I'd get some just in case I do need it one day!

More sponges from Beauty Essentials. Also 50c each!

Also picked up an OPI nail polish 'Funky Dunkey' from their Shrek Forever After (2010) Collection, Revlon's Nail Enamel in Beach (from their 2010 Summer collection, I think) and Sportsgirl Nail It in Iceberg! I'm not sure of the prices since these were paid with a bunch of other stuff by Mumma.

My nail polish collection is growing and growing and growing and growing and growing... sigh!

Today's post is a tad less exciting, but I promise next week's market haul post will be exciting! ;)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
