CLINIQUE
Clinique is not a brand I'd usually feature, but with contouring/highlighting being such a spotlight trend, I've figured that you guys would like a peek at these!

  • Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour ($42/1 shade), a creamy contouring stick that works to add depth and definition.
  • Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight ($42/2 shades), a creamy highlighting stick that works to highlight prominent features.

    L'OREAL PARIS
A few key launches this month, by L'Oreal. What's upsetting is that... I don't have the images for these, so you'd have to use your imagination (and also forgive me!).
    • Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Reds ($21.95/6 shades), a range of lippies!
    • Colour Riche 30th Anniversary Collection ($21.95/17 shades), another range of lippies!

BOURJOIS Glamour Effet Push Up Mascara ($??/2 shades)
Mascaras with a formula that shapes the lashes with coating fibres for volume. Available in Ultra Black and Black Waterproof. Lasts up o 24 hours, according to Bourjois.

BOURJOIS Lash Machine Volume Boosting Fibres ($??)
This, my friend, is a lash booster! I'm sure you've seen products like this before. They contain fibres which coats in between your layers of mascara, to build up for volume AND length! Bourjois says this is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation ($54/16 shades)
I don't usually feature MAC as part of my #NOC posts, but this product seemed interesting! A waterproof foundation that lasts up to 16 hours, with a medium-to-full coverage and a *natural satin finish*. Oil-free, long wearing. Interesting, huh?

Ehhh, this month's post is a tad boring. But let me know what you'll be hitting up anyways!

There has been some really great beauty sales recently [within Australia]! I'll be posting about them on my Instragram and/or Facebook page, so follow me on those two platforms for constant updates!

    Thanks my little beautifools!

Drugstore Cosmetics Launches for Australia -- May 2014

Hello wello, HAH! Not late for this month, how unexpected, right?

Skipping my uni work for this post, so of course it won't be late....! There are not many launches this month though... Sadly.

    -----------------------

    Ulta3 CC Cream ($8.95/2 shades)
BAM! Ulta3 with their newest product, a CC cream. Ulta3 has always been a well-loved brand for their nail polishes. Their make-up? Not so much. Strange (and a bit shocking) to know that they've introduced a CC Cream, as CC creams are generally new to the Aussie market. Wonder whether they'll nail (#punny yo) this one, or whether it would just be another CC tinted moisturiser?

Ulta3 describes this to be, a complexion correction cream that helps to correct colour-related skin issues. Has a foundation-like coverage, and is buildable. Also protects the skin against sun damage.

Ulta3 Speckled Nail Polish ($3/6 shades)
This was released last month, and I believe, has already made a big hit on many beauty blogs. Limited edition collection which features fine black pepper particles and large matte glitter pieces on pastel-coloured bases. I really like the idea of this since trying <name> by Illamasqua. Too bad I couldn't find it at my local Ulta3 stockists.. Bummer!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Colour Vibrations Glitter Mania Collection ($6.95/8-9 shades)*
I'm actually not too sure how many shades are released in Australia for this collection, but the whole collection consists of 8-9 shades. The price, I've gathered from Chemist Warehouse's catalogue. They are $4.95 RIGHT NOW (save $1.96), so get them now on sale while you can!

    What they look like, apparently.

"Pretty" would be an understatement to describe how they look. Gaaaaaahhhhhh.

    Physician's Formula
I've said last month, that it seems that PF is just continuously releasing similar products over and over again. Here's your quarterly doze, I guess...

    • Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush ($21.95) -- A "perfect blend of complexion-boosting blush tones to brighten and enhance the skin tone" whilst adding a touch of radiant colour.
    • Nude Wear Glowing Nude Powder ($29.95) -- Provides weightless coverage, and features a multi-coloured paeltte of nudes...... Not sure how I'm suppose to use this as a "powder" actually. Four shades of nudes o_o
    • Nude Wear Glowing Nude Bronzer ($29.95) -- Features a "complexion boosting multi-coloured palette of bronze hues" for the most natural looking healthy bronze flow.

Not sure about the products, I don't want to be too biased against them. Their prices are ridiculously high that I may as well remove their brand from these posts to be honest. Not very "drugstore", ya know?

Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin FakeOut Mascara ($24.95)
"Made from 100% natural origin lash extension fibers", whatever it means, this mascara is supposed to lengthen, amplify and curl the lashes for an "unbelievable 3D effect".

Lashes naturally appear thicker, longer and more lush and gorgeous for up to "24 hours".

    Meh meh meh!!

    • Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin CC Colour + Correction Cream ($25.95) -- CC cream with a "ground-breaking" formula that features 70% of organic ingredients. Corrects + cares for the skin, in a lightweight formula which blends effortlessly. Evens out the skin with radiance. Lasts all day.... they say.
    • Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin CC Curl + Care Mascara ($24.95) -- What. The. Heck? CC mascara. Contains 70% organic ingredients, curls and volumises the lashes. All day wear. But still, what the heck? WHAT IS A CC MASCARA.

NP Set Contour & Define Cream On The Go ($27/3 shades)
One of those products that is supposed to conceal and even out the skin tone, but added to that, NP Se describes that it's also suppose to "define and lift [our] natural contours". It's a lightweight cream formulated with some fancy vitamins and antioxidants. No idea why the packaging says C+D Cream though.

    Designer Brands
    • Extend a Brow ($12.99/2 shades) -- Silly name, but the product doesn't seem too bad! It's a brush-on brow enhancer, with a "silky-fibre formula". Provides a fuller and more defined look.
    • Quick Dry Nail Polish ($7.99/20 shades) -- A high gloss nail lacquer that touch dries in 30 seconds. Features a precision brush that ensures streak-free application.

Great, that's all for this month's launches then!

    Your thoughts on these products?

The Physician's Formula products don't interest me too much, so skipping right pass them. Definitely gonna hunt down Ulta3's Speckled Nail Collection though, and heading to Chemist Warehouse soon to check out sales on Sally Hansen's glitter-babies!

For anyone looking for Ulta3's Speckled Nail Collection, head to their Facebook page. Their store locator can filter limited edition products too! Super handy!!

Drugstore Cosmetic Launches for Australia -- July 2013

God... It's already July guys.. Five more of these launch posts and I'll be starting on 2014! Time flies by SO quick.. It's unbelievabubble.

I haven't been posting lately, because my laptop's hard drive broke down. Had to get it replaced (costed a whopping $170!), so I'm starting this month with not a penny to spend. X_X Sad..

But for those who has no buying restraints... here are some awesome cosmetic launches to look into!

Chi Chi adds 6 spankin' new shades to their existing collection of Viva La Diva Lippies ($18.95)! They are available in mattes and cream finishes, and as you can see, some deep plums/purples for your wildness!
    • Game On (matte)
    • Chekin In (matte)
    • Lady Bump (matte)
    • Countes Turn Me On (matte)
    • Let Me Tempt You (cream)
God knows what the last shade is called.. They've forgotten to include it :(

More matteness from Chi Chi with their Creamy Matte Liquid Lipsticks ($16.95/14 shades)! These are intensely pigmented, long-lasting matte lip products which applies to be creamy and bright.

If you're not one for mattes, then they also have these Glossy Lip Stains ($16.95/5 shades) which are described to be pigmented, lightweight stains for the lips. The 3 products from the middle to right reminds me alot of Australis' Pout Pastes, except that the red isn't as bright! What do you say?

Physicians Formula is hitting back this month with quite a few bronzers and blushers, and these are probably the sexiest of them all!
    • Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Bronzer ($29.95) -- duo-toned bronzer that features a golden glow, giving off a radiant and healthy glow.
    • Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Blush ($21.95) -- same deal, but this is a luminous duo-toned blush.

    • Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powdered Bronzer ($29.95) -- a bronzer that reacts to light and the skin's natural pH levels, supposedly to suit your very own skin tone.
    • Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powdered Blush ($21.95) -- Same, same!

    • Physician Formula Mineral Wear Talc-free Mineral Correcting Bronzer ($29.95) -- 3-in-1 mineral correcting powder, brightener and bronzer. The swirl designed of the complementary shades is supposed to "brighten" the skin -- pink tone highlights, yellow tone adds warmth, orange tone brightens.
    • Physician Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Season-to-Season Bronzer ($29.95) -- a multi-coloured bronzer which features 4 bronzing tone for your convenience to customise your own shade.

Of course, they also have a pH Matchmaker Powered Lip Gloss ($19.95) that has an in-built LED light inside the cap. The lip gloss itself, is also suppose to adjust to the light and pH levels of your lips.. Only available in 1 shade.

Sportsgirl rocks back with the 3D Caviar trend with their to-be-released Nail Sprinkes ($7.95)! Available in Silver, Black and Multi.

Woop.. Almost forgot to mention that Rimmel's famous Apocalips Lip Lacquers ($15.95/8 shades) have already hit the Aussie shores! It's a rich, intense and pigmented liquid lipstick with a glossy finish! According to the reviews that I've read, they are deemed to be lightweight and non-sticky.. Sounds pretty good, in my opinion!

Not too many launches this month, but they all are pretty interesting, don't you think? From pH blushers and bronzers to almost a handful of liquid lipsticks to check.

Have you tried any of the products mentioned?
Liquid lipsticks -- yay or nay?

I feel iffy about Physicians Formula's launch. That's 4 bronzers and 2 blushers that's going to be hitting the shelves. I have a gut feeling that they're all gonna be duds, LOL. All these pH-products never workkkkk! The Sexy Glow range surely does look nice though.. although the prices aren't so nice.

    25 November 2012

    Saturday/Sunday Steals #25: For just $27!

I'm back!! I'm finally done with my 2 weeks of practical work at the childcare centre. I've been busy dancing with 4-5 year olds to 'Gangnam Style'! Wa.. I miss them already and it's only been 2 days! Meep.

Tell ya something else I miss....... I miss awesome Sunday market hauls! That's what I miss! Why? Because good deals (like what I'll be showing you in this post) only comes around once in a looong while... actually, I probably should be thankful for that, because at least I don't hoard weekly... right?

Walked into the markets and just a few stalls in, I found these two brushes in a bag for $1! Whilst the flat brush don't look promising, the Chi Chi kabuki brush is impressively soft!

..and then two stalls down, I located all these AWESOME deals (where I stood around for 30mins to carefully choose, no joke)!

Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush in Nude Rose -- $5! I purchased this because it was so cheap and is a natural 'flushed' shade that I don't have in my collection of blushers!

All items from here were only $2.50 each!

Australis Creme Colour for Cheeks & Lips -- Collecting items for an upcoming giveaway!
Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick in Tell No One -- Check above.

Models Prefer Soft Black Eyeliner -- I got this because it was so cheap! Giving it away to a friend!
Savvy by DB Eye Pencil in Brilliant Bronze -- For giveaway! I've tried this and it's a beautiful bronze shade with a soft and creamy texture!

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliners Outrageous Emerald and Lively Turquoise -- I've heard enough about these! So excited that I found them at the markets! I really thought Australis' 10 Hour Wear along with Savvy by DB Eye Pencils were the creamiest that 'creamiest' can be... but holy golly, these Prestige eyeliners are even CREAMIER!

Prestige Waterproof Lipliner in Diva -- Saw this and thought it was a beautiful pink! Looking into lip liners lately because I love wild and bold lippies!

And then some swatches of the products I've been playing around with! Beautiful turquoise and emerald eyeliners!

And then finished Sunday markets off with some of my favourite body lotions by Pure Fiji (Coconut scented ones!).. all 4 for only $1... I really couldn't be any happier!

    Yeap. All for $27!

Anyways, I hope you've all been well! I have some exciting reviews coming your way! So glad I'm back into blogging! I miss it (and you guys too!) SO much. Here's a sneak-peak photo for what's coming up in the next fewer posts!

Thanks for following through with me! Speak to you soon! ^_^
