NEW ON COUNTER (DEC 2015): Max Factor, Beauty Theory, Colour Theory, Bourjois, Face Of Australia, MAC

Hello wello,

Only a bit less than 2 weeks and it'll be Christmas! What's everyone's Christmas' plans?

I personally haven't figured what to do yet. It's hard cause I don't even know what I'm gonna eat tomorrowwwwwww. And then I have friends asking me "What's your new years resolutions?". lol. Reaaaaally?! >_<

And I've got so many posts to catch up on. Please be patient!(*/∇\*)

MAX FACTOR Lipfinity Long-lasting Lipstick ($23.95)
These were launched last month. Don't think I've mentioned them in my previous post... These lippies claim to be long-wearing, moisturising and bold. Lasts up to 8 hours. I've managed to grab one of these at the markets for $2! Still need to blog about that... woops.

BEAUTY THEORY Make-Up Brush Cleaner ($10/200mL)
Beauty Theory, is a fairly new brand, so it's no surprise if you haven't heard of em. They're available at selected pharmacies (Amcal, I believe) and reminds me a lot of Ulta3 (as a brand). Their new Make-Up Brush Cleaner is a spray-on brush cleaner that removes dirt and make-up from brushes easily AND effectively. Lightly fragranced with French vanilla! ヽ(゚∇゚)ノ

BOURJOIS Air Mat Foundation ($27/6 shades)
The only foundation of this month! Offers even coverage and a matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours. The formula is infuseed with air to create a soft, and smooth texture, so hence, "Air Mat" as the name.

FACE OF AUSTRALIA
Also launched last month, were these two brow products. To be honest, their packaging looks really off from the usual FOA packaging. A bit different from the bunch, not sure what the team is up to~

  • Precision Brow Pencil ($7.95/2 shades)
  • Brow Sculpting Gel ($9.95/2 shades)

Alongside a few other [interesting products]..

Kajal Eyeliner Stix ($5.95/6 shades)
FOA's latest limited edition, which are eye pencils that also work as eyeshadows. Creamy and "ultra pigmented", these pencils are described to be long-wearing and intense. They remind me a lot of Ulta3's range which happened not so long ago.

Mascaras ($7.95/3 types)
Adding to the brow products, these 3 new [limited edition] mascaras are also what I meant when I said "they just don't seem very FOA-esque". So bright and bold. Thought they had a range of mascaras like these some time ago tooo..

  • Lashed Up Mascara, offers volume and curl
  • Max Xtend Mascara, promises length and volume
  • 90 Degrees Mascara, is the most interesting one of the bunch, offers thickness and length

Eyeshadow Palettes ($18.92/2 palettes)
Everyone has been hearing about these twooooooo! Another brand's play on neutral-shadow palettes.

  • Naked Eyeshadow Palette, contains 15 warm and cool tones. Features a mixture of rich browns, shimmery taupes, soft neutrals and a matte black. Contains pearl, shimmer, satin and matte finishes.
  • Nude Eyeshadow Palette, contains 15 earthy tones. Features soft nudes, pinks, darker browns, and taupes in pearl, shimmer, satin and matte finishes.

Paw Paw Ointment Jar ($7.95)
A limited edition paw paw ointment jar. Simple as that, lol.

Stay On Eye Primer ($8.95)
Aaaaaaaand last product of the bunch, their eyeshadow primer. They had one before in a creamy-pot if anyone remembers.. This looks much more convenient to use! It is described to have a "creamy fomula, that helps eyeshadows adhere and last". Suitable for sensitive skin too!

COLOUR THEORY Jumbo Lip Crayons ($8/4 shades)
Preeeeetty sure this is a new range by Colour Theory! New range, and new shades! Won't speak too much on these, they are what they are! :P

Pecan Pie, Redy-Or-Not, Sweet Tart, Rose Wood

essie Summer 2015 Collection ($16.95/6 shades)
New season, new collection! So cuteeeeeeeeeee, these shades! (*/∇\*)

MAC
A week ago, MAC launched their latest [limited edition] collection, I believe -- Dark Desires. A run down of what it contains:

Image from here >

  • The Well Eyeshadows ($35/6 shades
  • Mascaras ($42/2 shads)
  • Lipsticks ($36/4 shades)
  • Nail Lacquers ($22/2 shades)
  • MAC Studio Eye Gloss ($42/3 shades)
  • Kohl Fluidline Eye Liner ($35/1 shade)
  • Kohl Power Eye Pencils ($32/4 shades)
  • Brush ($45), not pictured, but is available in 246 Synthetic Fluffy Eye Brush.

They also have new products I believe! Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, cause I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes down to these higher-end brands, haha. (⊃‿⊂)

Huggable Lip Colours ($40/15 shades)

Fluidline Pen ($35/3 shades)

Aaaaaaaaaaand that's a wrap for this month's! The last new items for the year of 2015... Hmmmmm. What do you think?

I'd love me some Huggable Lip Colours by MAC, but I'd also love me some moola in ma pockets for Christmas, so... rather not.

Besides that, I can't wait to try the Max Factor lippy that I picked up from the markets!

Let you know about it soon!

Meanwhile, remember to SLIP SLOP SLAP and keep hydrated for the recent hot temp Aussie darlings!

NEW ON COUNTER (OCT 2015): Australis, Rimmel, Sally Hansen, Innoxa, Benefit, Natio, Burt's Bees, Colour Theory

YEAP. I know.

I never posted this month's #NOC post.. Sorrrrrrrrrry! I also haven't been updating my YouTube channel! Meeep.

For uni students, we are currently heading towards the end of the semester, and so, this is assessment season. I'm so loaded with uni work, and I've also been going through some rough patches within my personal life... so yeah. Haven't been able to update this blog as much as I'd like.

I'm so sorry.. (⋋▂⋌) but I hope you still enjoy today's post! I wanted to merge both October and November products, but some NOV products were available towards end of Nov, so it didn't seem too right to merge em' anymore. Either way, I hope you like this post!

BENEFIT Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer ($50)
"A BB cream eyelid primer that protects the delicate eye area against environmental stress while locking in eyeshadow and hydrating the skin". Moistursing and contains SPF20. My first thoughts: what? lol. Funky packaging though, haha.

RIMMEL LONDON 24HR SuperCurler Mascara ($17.95)
A volumising mascara, which claims to thicken and curl the lashes. Contains a curling polymer (don't ask me what that is, I ain't no expert) which helps deliver a long-lasting curl. 24 hour curl and volume, they say~

SALLY HANSEN Airbrush Legs Makeup ($26.95/4 shades)
Ok, kinda make-up, but not really. Somewhat, I guess. This is a liquid version of their Airbrush Legs spray. Lightweight, but full coverage and applies easily. Water and transfer resistant, that lasts all day.

BURT'S BEES Intense Hydration Nourishing Facial Water ($24.95)
WHAT. IS. THIS? -- my exact thoughts when I first saw this product, haha. The name and the packaging! Looks so appealing, to me at least. Haha. It's described to be a "facial water that hydrates and smooths the skin", of course, whilst balancing its pH levels and all that. In other words, it's a toner.. yeap, a toner.

COLOUR THEORY Gelato Dreams Collection
This collection was launched on 28 September (so yes, they are in-store already) so I thought it'd be fair to place them in this post, instead.

  • Bronzer Highlighter Duo ($10)
  • Lip Gloss in Frosting ($8) -- NEW shade
  • Lipstick in Citrus Sorbet, Waffle Cone and Cotton Candy ($6) -- NEW shades
  • 5 Step Eyeshadow in Tropical Daze ($10)
  • Define Mascara ($8)
  • Nail Polish in Cool Capri, Creme de la Creme, I Love Bubble Gum, Pistachio Paarty ($4) -- NEW shades

INNOXA 2 in 1 Blush & Cheek Sticks ($18.95/3 shades)
Blush sticks, seems quite appropriate for this Spring/Summer season! Hehe. These blush sticks offer subtle colour and soft and dewy finish. Can be used on the skin AND the lips. As you can see, it is in a stick applicator form for convenient touch ups on the go.

INNOXA Concealer Face Palette ($24.95)
An all-in-one palette for the face. Features colour correctors and two skin-tone concealers. Of course, as we know, the yellow shade neutralises purple discolourations, green reduces redness and purple neutralises yellow undertones, along with apricot which can be used to brighten.

NATIO Limited Edition Radiant Mineral Blush & Bronzer ($19.95/ea)

  • Blusher: A blush palette featuring 5 rosy hues, including a light peach and 4 other dusty rose shades.
  • Bronzer: A bronzer palette of 5 shades which offers a warm bronze. Features a light mocha, golden tan and cocoa brown hues, providing the skin with a golden glow!

THINGS I SAW AS I PRANCED AROUND:
Yes. This shall be a new section of these New On Counter posts. This section includes all the products I've seen as I pranced around stores or on Instagram, etc. Meaning, I have no information about them, except for the.... PRICE! Maybe the price, lol.

INNOXA Pollution Protection  Foundation ($36.95/4 shades @ Priceline)

AUSTRALIS Those Shmokin Eyes & Matte Bronzeyed Girl Eyeshadow Palettes
(Available soon, exclusive to Big W and Kmart)

Looking forward to reading your comments! =)

P.S. If you've spotted any new items that I haven't list, please do share with us!

New brand: Colour Theory HAUL!

Hellooooooooo.

OK. Had my last exam a bit more than a week ago. Typical me, never studied the night before. Instead, spent it prancing around online, catching up on one of my favourite blogs, Kitsch Snitch by Kat.

She has a post here, which featured a new budget brand called Colour Theory. Have anyone ever heard, or tried?

I've always received emails about Colour Theory, but never really cared for them. I'm biased and picky, especially against brands that are not stocked at department stores or chemists which are easy to access, such as Priceline and Big W.

Reading Kat's post on the brand sparked a few interests in me, so off I went to check which stores stocked em.

..
...
....
!

WHAT?!
Only two pharmacies stock Colour Theory?!
...And the first pharmacy has NO stockists near me. Okay, let's check the second pharmacy.. although it sounds completely alien to me.

The second pharmacy didn't have a stockist near me neither. BUT, it has a stockist near where I was heading to the NEXT day. Yeap. It was opposite of my university, Amcal Pharmacy. Good stuff!

Headed there after my exam in the evening, picked up a few new products. Here they are:

Colour Theory Bronzer Summer Sun ($8/3 shades)
Saw this in three shades. They had a good shade range though. One cool-toned, one warm-toned and one which was darker than both, but also more neutral (the one I chose).

Colour Theory Lipsticks ($6)
Wide shade range, this one. I chose Fuchsia Frenzy and Pouty Pink. Fuchsia Frenzy for the finish, it was the mattest (although still somewhat glossy) and Pouty Pink for its easy to wear colour. Hoping to update you soon since I already have a slight impression of how it is.

Colour Theory Eyeliner ($4)
You're probably wondering why the hell did I choose blue. Well, I didn't really expect this colour to be as bright as it is. I expected to be like a dark navy liner, to make my eye colour stand out.. in which I was wrong. Double liner is probably the way to go, to make use of this. Zzz.

But yeah, that's all for the haul. Cheap and affordable brand. Reminds me a lot of Ulta3 and essence. Still trialling around, so not much to say about the quality yet.

In case you're feeling keen on the brand, here is the link to their website which also includes their store locator!

OH! And here's a snap of me wearing Fuchsia Frenzy.. (^_^)/

Cya later alligator.
