Top 5 Pinks of 2014

2014 was the year of pink for me! I remember ages ago being really into coral lips and FOTD, but last year was [mostly] just pink, pink, pink!

Well, 6 if you count them beautiful pink roses. I LOVE them. Bought them at the markets for $2 and Mumma keeps saying they're ugly! Unbelievaboh! ( ಠ ಠ )

I'm not really one for eyeshadows, and even if I am, not pink eyeshadows anyways, hence the lippy and blusher overdose...

① FACE OF AUSTRALIA LIP QUENCH IN "PEACHES N CREAM" ($9.45)*
Let's see. How many times have I mentioned this as my top pink pick? Probably 2423599252 times. I'm sure you've all heard about this, the colour is just really adorbs... ok, we'll leave it at that! (。・・。)

BYS BLUSH TRIO IN "ON THE BRIGHT SIDE" ($6.95)
One of the most handy blushers in my stash. Three punchy pinks in a pod, it is. My main go-to's are the side pinks, as they are infused with shimmers, whereas the mid is just matte (and also a tad too bright).

③ ESSENCE LIP LINER IN "WISH ME A ROSE" ($2.00)
Brought this baby to China and used it every. single. day! Such a pretty colour. I've reviewed it here. It gets incredibly creamy with the hotter weather, so it worn down fast since I've purchased it. Need to repurchase soon..

④ NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREME IN 'SAN PAULO' ($12.95)
The shade is gorgeous! I've discovered it towards the end of 2014... during my time in Guangzhou actually. Really wearable alone, and sometimes, I'd use it over essence Lip Liner in Wish Me A Rose for the Korean gradient lip look!

⑤ FACE OF AUSTRALIA MINERAL THERAPY ILLUMINATOR ($14.95)*
The hype for these may be over, but it has only just begun for me! I've never been one for liquid illuminators, but this shade is amazing! It's pigmented so it's a must to skip blush [for me]. I use a small traditional foundation brush to apply this, to avoid dirtying my fingers and for that stand-out pearly look to stay!

Ah. So pink! Maybe I'll take a sharp turn this year and you'll find a "top 5 blacks of 2015" at the end of the year.. Hehehe. (dirty mind: on)

Jokes! How inappropriate of moi~ ( ̄^ ̄メ)\(_ _ ;)

MANI-MONDAY: PINK OFF MONDAY BLUES!

Ahh~ Finally got off the ugly chipped white nails that I've had on for more than 2 weeks since China.

Time for a pop of colour! Here's Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Cerise.

Your regular pink, nothing too special really. However, the brush gets me every time!

Big brush! For those with larger [like moi], you'd probably love the brush size as it'll hug around your cuticles perfectly. On the other hand, the struggle might be real for those with smaller nail-size...

Love the easy-to-apply consistency. Also had a glossy finish that didn't need to be amped, so I didn't bother with top coat at all!

What's wearing on YOUR nails?!

New Of Shelf: Bourjois, ModelCo, Face Of Australia, LUSH, Maybelline

New month, new YEAR, new products!

Yes my cute pumpkins! I'm finally back from Guangzhou, China. For the past fewer days, all I've been doing is eat and sleep. I'm so jet-lagged right now and can't even get sleep until 3-4am every night. Urgh!

However, still trying my best to get back to blogging!

Let's pump it up with a peek to what's new on shelves this month, shall we?

Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes ($24.00/6 quads)
Features 3 coordinated shades and a "top coat" (what?). All shades are cream-to-powder, with an integrated primer. The "top coat" acts as a transparent veil to illuminate and subtly lighten the smoky shadow. Ehhh.

Maybelline Color Show Bleached Neons L/E Nail collection ($5.95/4 shades)
Launched last month, but didn't quite catch the news of these! Another limited edition nail polish collection by Maybelline, featuring "pastel shades with a bright kick of neon colour"... huh? *confused*

ModelCo for Tony Bianco Nail Collection ($15.00/6 shades)
Another nail collection that was launched last month -- collaboration between beauty brand ModelCo and fashion brand Tony Bianco!

A bit odd to see Tony Bianco collab with ModelCo for this nail range... ◑.◑

Face Of Australia Paw Paw Ointment ($3.95/3.8g)
Also launched last month! We all know what Paw Paw Ointments are for so I'll skip the deets for this one.. (*/∇\*)

OK. Now, this isn't really *drugstore*, but the price range is around there, so I thought I'd include them! And they are actually launched this month...

Lots of goodies by LUSH.. ヽ(゚∇゚)ノ

African Paradise Body Conditioner ($37.50/245g) -- A self-preserving in-shower body conditioner.
D'Fluff Shaving Cream ($9.95/100g or $18.50/250g) -- Gentle shaving cream that leaves the skin silky smooth. Love the name!!
Zest Hair Gelly ($18.95) -- Self-preserving hair jelly that gives hair great hold without the greasy feeling.
Granny Takes a Dip Bath Bomb ($6.75) -- A multi-coloured bath bomb with a spicy citrus scent.

Parsley Porridge Soap ($6.96/100g) -- An antibacterial soap suitable for the body and face. Eliminates bacteria, and deeply cleanses the skin. Addition of aloe gel cools and also revives the skin. Ideal for oily, acne-prone skin.
Mangnificent Soap ($6.95/100g) -- Contains a blend of dried and fresh mango, it's described to cleanse the skin and "awaken the mind and body".
Movis Facial Soap ($11.95) -- A soap formulated to rejuvenate the skin and reduce scarring (interesting!).

That's all for this month! Such a short post, but I'd rather it than a longer post! I'm sure no one wants to start 2015 with an empty pocket! :P

I'd pass on all products, besides that Movis Facial Soap. Looks interesting! I've been paying more attention to my acne scars lately... Would love to fade them down a bit..

LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic

*I'm currently in China, but wishing you all a safe and wonderful festive season with your loved ones!

Catastrophe Cosmetic ($16.95) is my second ever face mask by LUSH. My first face mask was Love Lettuce, which is an amazing face mask too!

I'm not really one to reach out to try differently things. They say "Taurus hates changes" and that's super-duper true with me! I'm the kind of person that prefers no changes so once I like something, there's no need for changes.

This tub was purchased by one of my girlfriends, for our Melbourne trip from a few weeks ago! It contains blueberries, and is supposed to soothe and gentle cleanse.

The mask was kinda hard to apply, because the texture was so hard and thick (◑.◑?). Eh, I'm not sure if that's the best way to describe it, but my tip for applying this would be to add a few droplets of water to help with spreading. It'll dry out to be the same, so don't you worry!

Rinsing this off can be a pain in the butt, or.. it was so for me. Some bits just didn't want to come off and would "dry" on your chin. AH! YOU KNOW... when you get toothpaste stuck, and it'll dry out chalky on the skin? Yeah?

Yeap, it's exactly like that!

I'd have to go over with a cotton pad with water to wipe it off. Worth it though, for the baby soft skin. You can really feel the differences in texture after the mask.

Skin just feels sooooooooo soft and smooth, a fly may just be able to slip off if it landed on ma cheeks. (•‿•)

Have you tried any LUSH masks?
Which is your favourite pick?

Saturday's Swatches: Face Of Australia Lasting Looks Lip Creme

A lippy post to brighten your Saturdays!

I've had these Lasting Looks Lip Cremes ($10.95) in my beauty stash for yoooooooooooonks. They are actually very decent lipsticks, pretty much everything you could ask for -- pigmented, creamy, buttery and moisturising with an average lasting power.

Most of all, they're super affordable!

I'm not sure why they haven't made my favourites.

Perhaps it's because I've been more into matte lip products rather than anything glossy. Or I'm just taking them for granted. Eep.

There are 7 shades to choose from, and ranges from reds to pinks and mauves.

Let's get swatchin', shall we?

Coral On
A very bright coral, almost pops against my skin (y'know one of those "shaaanxo" lip colours?). My top pick from this range, and also the most used shade. Just because it's coral! Hehe.

Perm Pink
A tad too cool-toned for me, as you can see. I don't usually go near these pinks, so this one will probably sit there to collect dust... eep.

Love Berry
A bright creme pink. It's a really bold shade, quite lovely -- right up my alley, but most of the time, I use this as a lip tint to dab over the lips to brighten up the face.

'Till Plum
As with most lip collections, there's always that one shade that you'll deem as the "weird shade". Till Plum is the one for me. It's not really a "vampy" colour to me, just a muted grape-toned lippy. Really different!

For-red-er
Somewhat of a bright red! Quite warm-toned, this one.

Rubies
Lookin' real similar to FOR-RED-ER, but it's deeper and darker!

#redsidebyside

Many Moons
Really wearable colour, the most MLBB-like shade of the collection. I sometimes reach for this shade, especially for those days when looking at my lipstick stash just confuses the heck out of me! I won't deny that sometimes it does make my face look a bit washed out though.

My top pick is Love Berry and Coral On. Many Moons is a unique one to have too!

On the same day I swatched these, I was also swatching the Rimmel Provocalips. Altogether, I swatched 15 lippies on that day!

Thankfully, these weren't brutally clingy on the lips like those Provocalips, else my lips would be gone!

Christmas with LUSH!

Last Christmas, I gave you heart, but the very next day, you gave it away. This year to save me from tears, I've giving it to....

Yes, I know!!!

I'm extremely late to this, so I'm sure you guys have seen these in stores already! They've been in stores for a couple of months already, but take this as a reminder of last-minute stocking stuffer ideas!

Most products mentioned are re-releases, but some are new releases, so without further adieu...

Let's go! (๑>ᴗ<๑)

I wished I had a bath tub for all the beautiful bath bombs!! It's my first time seeing these items, so I'm definitely intrigued!

I hope you've all enjoyed the photos I've compiled. Urgh, took me about 3 hours and now it's time to dine!

What's your pick? Or what have you picked [already]?
